Silk is just crazy for everything except the adam and mole man fights.
Took her to R3 after completing this

Dude I’ve been trying to push silk....people don’t realize how broken she truly is outside of pvp

Right side: R3 Hulk and Silk, 6R5 Spam.
Left side: R3 Odin, R5A Onslaught and R1 Venom (Just for the gate to open).

Cleared all objectives, R3ed my Red Skull.

Left side Hulkling, Captain Marvel and NTW. Right side Hulk, Titania and Cheel'ith.
Wasn't too hard but was time consuming

Yeah this is alot of fun.

Gonna go ahead and say that Run and Gun and Titania being buff immune are triggering Unavoidable Destiny for you.

I thought the node only punishes if you're immune to a effect applied by defender. Nowadays it looks like we need a PhD to understand all these interactions.

If the negative effects of ability accuracy reduction has taught us anything, it's that nodes count as defender abilities.

im running serpent, onslaught and gladiator for the right path

serpent is an unreal toad counter my god, spam sp1s and youll whittle toad down without breaking a sweat cause you're always getting power

destroyer is easy with onslaught, i suck at fighting mole man but onslaught is largely a great counter in more skilled hands

apparently gladiator makes iDoom a joke

pretty sure this team knocks down the Size L/XL, no saga and mutant/cosmic objectives so id highly recommend it to anyone who has serpent, onslaught and glad at a good rank

Can you elaborate on the gladiator bit? I had zero luck with him on my run, ended up using onslaught and it was messy, but worked ok.

How well does Hulkbuster work for Toad?

Gladiator worked great for me, extremely easy solo. The strat is simple: punish Idoom’s special like you normally would to gain grit from the node, then chain that combo into a heavy to disable the burst damage for free. You can also use Glad’s intimidate to help push Idoom to sp2 which doesn’t give him the aura of iron. You can’t really do any of Glad’s big damage plays like using specials with his unblockable buff (you trigger cosmic shielding which prevents damage) or punching Idoom during his specials (he can inflict shocks that will hurt you pretty badly) but his basic attack damage with confidence buffs is enough that you can just punch him down with basic combos and an occasional sp3. For the record I did my run with an unawakened 7* r1 Glad, which is decent stats by virtue of being a 7* but not a crazy strong r3 either. Didn’t take me very long to defeat him.

I must have been doing something wrong then. Or I'm just not good enough in general for it to work well. You get tapped once when he has his aura up and you instantly die to the immune damage. Hopefully when I go for the bottom I'll have more luck with Kate or Chavez.

I mean yeah getting hit will do that, don’t get hit and it’s easy. Idk Idoom doesn’t really have a way to force you to get hit besides heavy stun if you get really passive and let the shock node trigger, so not sure what you’re struggling with. Regardless Kate and Chavez have that same heavy chain so it should hopefully work out better for you.

7r3 chee'ilth, 6r5a warlock and 6r4a hulk on the right side got me 4 or 5 points.

    Spent some stash revives.
  • Drago_von_DragoDrago_von_Drago Member Posts: 936 ★★★★
Hulkling can definitely solo Adam. I was able to do that a few times. I muddled through the rest of that side with domino and WWBN along with Hulkling and some revives. I got impatient and used more resources than I should have but it’s done.

Moleman was tedious but not hard. He threw specials easily, the protection was just rough without a passive DOT champ. I imagine Kate would have made it way easier with the passive Coldsnap but I already had Hulkling so I needed 2 7*s. WWBN ruptures didn’t stick around to do damage during his specials.

Hulk/Hulkling duo were MVPs for the Toad path. Used Hulkling for Toad and MoleMan and Hulk for Destroyer and IDoom. I brought WWBN on this path too for the size L/XL objective but didn’t really use him.

Bottom path with viv, spam and kate (remembered there was a reason not to use Chavez on that run) was way easier, 1 revive on idoom because I didn't manage to get a heavy in time at 2% and a couple health pots for piggy to top up before moleman. Overall a much better time.

    Left side-Galan-dragon man-onslaught
    Galan cheeses Adam and photon
    Onslaught takes mole pretty quick
    Dragon man melts boss
    Right side-silk(ofc)-warlock-ham
Warlock can solo toad pretty easily mines r2 7* tho
    Silk melts destroyer and boss
    Ham for mole(my 6* r4 unascended unfortunately)
I skipped the no saga objective(fun fact my 5 r3s are all saga lol) the end

@DerpyEagle can you kindly explain the strategy with dragon man mate
I am still trying to figure left side
Would R1 awakened dragon man work?
    Any alternatives for dragon man?

First time i've hit the top milestone. 2 runs for this got me through.

Could be that my account is enough to counter or I got good but the most likely answer is that it was well designed and not too limiting.

Toad AI still blew hard though.

I ran the Right path twice since I had the extra Deathless point and didn't want to deal with Photon or learn Adam.

First run: Silk, Ironheart, Kate Bishop. 1 total revive (on Toad, but just cause I was getting annoyed while using Ironheart). Silk is a killer on Destroyer and iDoom, Kate makes Moleman a joke. Ironheart is not the best for Toad, as her prowess invalidation mechanic is clunky to do with these nodes, and her animations push Toad to his wall too easily, but I needed a reverse immune counter.

Second run: Werewolf, Hercules, and Juggernaut.
    Juggernaut is good for Toad.
I thought I could use Juggs for Destroyer, but forgot about the ruptures while protection is up. Ended up just nuking with Herc and revives.
Werewolf was a waste of a slot as I had thought that his ruptures would do good damage to Mole Man, but they only resulted in ~1-2% health off each time Moleman used his specials. I ended up just using Juggernaut to get in a hit during Moleman's recovery window, and that took off more health than Werewolf did overall. Wasted a bunch of revives trying it with Werewolf before I switched.
Took iDoom with Hercules and about a few revives.

Overall, for the Right path, I would replace Werewolf and Ironheart with someone else if I had to do it again.

I considered it but couldn’t figure out the teams. Ended up going both sides so I could ignore one of the class based objectives.

My problem is I forgot that I had an extra objective (since I did DV), and I had already run the right side with cosmic. So I was left with XL/L, science/skill/tech, and saga. It seemed that the only champ I had that could do the Adam Warlock fight was crossbones, and that was stressful watching the furies.

    Here's how I did it

    Right path:---------------------------------------------------------------------

    Hulk (toad and destroyer)
    Silk (destroyer and idoom)
    Cheelith (moleman and idoom)

    full heroes
    Skill science tech
    With Saga champ
    Completion point

    Left path:---------------------------------------------------------------------

Galan with Odin pre-fight for adam and photon
    Onslaught for moleman and idoom

    L, xl
    Cosmic mutant mystic
    Without saga
    Exploration point

Yes, the chest contains one good, which counts as one point.
