Why is Battleground Blizt rewards expiry not for the event?

I already missed out on claiming some of the rewards I earned simply because I can’t just do a battleground session whenever I want to, especially since I’m now in the gladiator circuit.
This is exactly how I felt with the Crystal cleansing event in regards to Kabam wanting us to use our crystals but with the inventory space we have it just didn’t logically make sense to.
I understand the expiry is about a week but that’s the NORMAL expiry for a regular season of battlegrounds; for this event it just doesn’t work for me at all. It creates an unrealistic expectation of how much time I’m expected to dedicate to battlegrounds grounds on a everyday basis, whereas that just doesn’t work for me, a guy with a job and family to attend to. It’s not like I can just jump in & sell matches to use to get points and spend elder marks so I can claim more and not waste them without risking my account. So now I’m forced to waste resources one way or the other simply because the expiry time is too short.

Well I would imagine I’m not the only one who’s been fooled by the timers, so hopefully this post and your comment can help others who might feel the same
