I'm sure this has been asked before but is there any actual way to counter Serpent?

I don't think I've ever had such a tricky time dealing with a champ before. To be honest, I just don't get how your supposed to deal with him other than getting lucky.

Rintrah can stop his cheat death and other 100% potency neutralize works too but you need to be lucky.
Power control champ like chavez works too. No sp3 at the end.
I have taken 7* r3 serpent boss in war with 7* r1 symbiote supreme.

Pretty much anything the mystic class (and Luke Cage and a couple others) can do besides nullify, fate seal or stagger. Buff immunity and neutralize will prevent his buffs altogether, though neutralize is not a guarantee. Atrophy will reduce their duration significantly. Ability power control will keep his power gain at bay.

    Hit and don’t get hit.

Any tip on when he get Power gain and Death immue and AI just chilling until her get a SP3?

From what I hear the Ban button seem like the most affective way to counter Serpent.

Ah the logic of Kabam Rebalance team.
Luke Cage has a 50 percent chance to stop his death immunity with 1 concussion, always have a relic and a special ready for it. Slow 5 hit combo, relic, slow 5 hit combo, special.
Or you can just try to bait specials?

Absolutely, Guardian is one of the best out there, he can perfect block, taking 0 damage and gaining power.

Sp3 or sp1 straight to sp2 and then sp1 to gain the taunts then he’s good, and I use him all the time unduped.

Claire Voyant works for questing and AW, too slow for BG’s and timing the buff immunity right on Serpent needs to be accurate.

Just something to point out because people might get confused by your first line, Rintrah has a 200% potency neutralize vs mystics, so he doesn't need to get lucky vs serpent.

With a duped Chavez, I heavy 3 times immediately for the negative zone dimensions to power drain him. In VT meta, Serpent will only get to use s single special if you keep these dimensions open.

White tiger is also a beastly counter for duped serpent. If you get your sp2 bleed off while serpents death immunity is active, then you'll heal a lot of heal that you deny serpent and likely are going to be healing to full health. She also has excellent power control and is very safe for serpent.

Sym supreme is also a monster vs serpent after his sp3.

The only skill based tip which was said earlier is save a relic for his death immunity to buy you the time needed… now that only works if the AI plays into you when that’s active… so it’s an RNG AI dependent skill based hair Mary more than actual skill.

More safely you need mystics with stagger, atrophy and/or power control abilities. Even though Luke is decent any non mystic is still a plan B counter as they are limited on ability power rate reduction

As a war attacker how do you avoid his massive chip damage cuz even fully boosted his chip damage is insanely over powered. I find that to be the biggest problem when fighting him in war.

And after the three heavies for Chavez, what's the plan? I just got Chavez a week ago, and just r3 her two days ago so never used her much except for the EoP run as a 6r3.

I also normally use mojo for serpent so don't him as well with other counters.

Don't throw 3 heavies, 2 are enough most the times.

Then you have to activate all three dimensions. If you are low on health, chain your special 2 with 2nd hit of heavy. For damage, chain your sp2 with first hit of heavy. Make sure to always maintain atleast 2 violet dimensions, especially when he gets to death immunity phase

I know there is a bug via which certain champs with multiple hit heavies just misses Serpent's sp2 hits from that green portal thingy. while Serpent is doing sp2, u have to heavy and pass that green portal

America Chavez is probably the top counter to Serpent.. Kushala, or White Tiger might work too.

Thanks for commenting everyone, I had a 7 star America Shavez that's just been chilling un ranked. I just ISO'd her and took her to rank 2. She seems like she's going to do great. I just watched some videos on her, so thanks!

This is about every single serpent head to head. Just see if you can get a little more damage before he dies. I have maybe 1 direct counter in my deck but cgr is good just eat an sp3 and nuke him down. How he didn’t get rebalanced is beyond me.

When I play him I just try to do a little damage and just let him ko me because there’s no point in continuing 30 seconds for 5% health.

(And no I indeed did not pause the game, thats 60 seconds of absolute potato head skill issue gameplay)

I was testing Ham out on him a few times. Managed to get him down, but these fights could have been over a lot faster if AI had not held it's specials when I had the porker poppers and power stings on him.

I came across this YT video using Purgatory. I don't have her ranked to try. Has anybody else tried Purgatory?

Man, clearly I’ve touched on a sore spot. So I just got to gladiator circuit (for the first time…woot) and aside from realizing America Chavez is one of the best if not thee best mystic in the game, so far my best counter against serpent is the ban button.

Sorry for the dumb question, but does Chavez work when Serpent is AW Boss? Seems like the stun immunity is a potential issue? Or does her passive heavy stun bypass it?
I have never used Chavez against a stun immune that I can think of. 😂

Not necessarily, I myself find a 6* sig 200 Serpent more annoying to play against than a 7* R3
I don't ban Serpent but my 6* gets banned even when the opponent has a 7* DUPED Serpent, that's how annoying he is at high sig.
