Focus on Grinding in Realm Event is making BG more boring

I just wanted to put this out there. I'm sure others have felt it.
Battlegrounds are nice. I regularly get to the GC but I never try going beyond whatever the lowest stage is called.
Right now, however, BG are becoming extremely boring thanks to the regular grinding. I wish the game put less emphasis on Grinding BG in the realm event. The rewards are nice, but there's no will to get them. I'm sure the Game Team also realized this sentiment among the player base leading to the Stark (whatever) Foundation chipping in with extra points. I personally don't think I'll make it to 5K points (I doubt I'll reach 3K). I'm just bored out of my mind. I'm sure there are others like me, but if you're not and you're enjoying it, more power to you.
I can only suggest that the game team try to make the game less "grindy" and more focused on "fun".

I rank up champs I like, and not necessarily for bg/ pvp purposes. That's my cross to bear for trying to have fun playing this game. I usually just get to gc and stop playing. But this time I tried to push myself for the titan, which has only reinforced my distaste for this game mode. And now i'm in too deep so I'll have to see it through. Sigh.

Replace maestro with serpent and i agree with you. Everyone seems to have him aa a 6* and happily placing him on defense.

Nah, ppl always ban serpent, so I never run into him. Maestro is really good for gc meta with his basic attack glancing and chunky hp, so I always see him.

I grinded like my life depended on it when the event started, I rarely play BG so wanted it done, got to 5k and then pretty much stopped. Now all I do is the milestone to get the banquet ticket. It put me off doing EQ as I was sick to death of the game. For those of us who aren't sweaty grinders in this game this month seems to have had a little too much going on.

In the GC, hardly played, 3750 points, can't remember the last time I got a full pot in BG events. This season it is significantly easier to get all the event rewards, with little or no effort. Stop complaining (!!!).

Couldn’t agree more. I am beyond tired of bgs, and actively try to do everything but bgs currently. As an example I have 2 hours to get the current sinister banquet ticket from the objectives before it expires, and I still don’t know if I’ll get it. I’m at almost 4700 points now so I’m close to finishing, but these last 1k points have been way worse than the first 4k. Bgs is a legitimate chore and I will be taking a very nice break after this.

I grinded, got into the GC and put up over 5k points. It was such a chore that I will probably take the next season of BGs off. The AI being awful in the GC meta really makes me have no interest in playing outside of the 1 win for the ticket every couple of days. Others in my alliance have expressed similar sentiments of burn out from this season.

This felt like a punishment more than a “celebration”.

Got to Diamond 1 and 5000 points in my main. I have another 700 of points to grind for my alt account later, but that's about my cap in BGs at the moment in this meta. Probably the most I've played BGs in seasons and only grinding to 5000 for a guaranteed 7 star. So tired of losing to the same characters at this point...

I think you can have events with good rewards that require effort, but aren't tediously grindy and miserable at the same time.

But if it's a chore to grind the 5k points (not winning a lot), then your account and/or skill level isn't deserving of that reward.
1st place on the leaderboard gets just half a titan. But a full one is awarded for just playing. Under normal circumstances you (and almost everyone who complains) would never sniff those rewards.
So just shut up and play. Or don't play. All this complaining about points requirement is pathetic and sad. In all honesty, one random 7* won't magically transform your account. If you're struggling in BGs, it won't get better anytime soon.

It’s boring…but good rewards take grinding. If you want the titan, you’ll have to put in the points

I think I’m in the minority here, I enjoy BGs. There’s only been a couple metas where it deterred me from playing. I got to 5k points about a week ago, using elder marks for all my matches and now I just do the objectives every two days. I can see how some people think it’s a drag but me personally I love the game mode. The realm event definitely could have less grinding intensive though

The first 3k points were fine. But after than it was a nightmare. Like my team is good enough to where victory tracks isn't too hard but then I hit URU and can't do ****

Sorry dude, I don’t “want” the Titan. I couldn’t care less for it. I want a non repetitive, non grindy, experience. I’m at that stage in the game and in life where losing out on a Titan doesn’t matter to me. I love doing SoS events, AW showcase, Everest content and events of that sort. But this is just too stupid to waste my time on. The rewards compared to the time spent are not that great. I play the game to relax and have fun. Doing arenas grind causes less stress than BG.

Today, we got a survey where one of the questions was : “would you play the game if you have 10 minutes of free time” (or something to that effect)? No I wouldn’t. There’s nothing in the game that would have me say “Ah, I’ve got 10 minutes, let me play this?”

Again, as I said, if you enjoy it, good for you. Play it and enjoy it. I just wanted to express my frustration at the way this particular Realm event has been designed. It just causes FOMO. That’s not healthy, either for players or for the game.

My frustration not comes from the grind, but from the stupid passive Ai which refuses intercept in a gc meta where they expect us to intercept constantly to deal damage.

If you don’t like it then don’t do it especially if the rewards aren’t important to you. Not everyone has to like all the game modes. Many do like BGs though.
