How’s Dani moonstar in 2024?

before last years heavy hitter champs, there was Dani, who was added to the contest in June of 2023, but in October of 2024, we have champions that can do what she does, better. She still counters Nick, and herc, but how is she generally in 2024? As a defender, attacker, overall, and in story ?

Still irrelevant, IMO. Countering Herc was never very valuable, countering NF is much less valuable than it use to be (exception being Crit Me, where he’s still a pain with the second life).

I think she's okay; but her main utility for me is:
decent, but not impressive damage
access to a long passive Slow
can get combo openings using Falter

I quite like playing with her; and can understand anyone who does. But she's definitely middle-of-the-pack, at best.

she isn't too great. Ok damage, i only use her for tht looooong slow. she has caught opponents occasionally off guard in BGs, with that SP2 block damage (many still don't know how to dex it)

Her main design flaw is BEING DESIGNED with MISS. That's LITERALLY IT. If she did not rely on missing then she would've been a very good champion (at least against her target matchups). I don't know if they forgot that NICK FURY and herc can't miss. Dani relies on luck to take Nick because he can still reach 5 charges even when you bait only Sp2. I tried this last night and still failed MISERABLE cos he gained 5 charges.

Another draw back is her combo mechanic, she has NO COMBO SHIELD or anything that protects you when making a mistake, one mistake with her really screws everything up and you have to start again, she should've been given some kind of combo mechanic because making a mistake ruins ALL of your hard work when building her combo.

She wasn't designed properly unfortunately and that's just what it is. And it hurts because I really liked the champion and was a fan before she was released, I tried to give her so many chances but ohh well. I still use her for BG sometimes.

I also strongly disagree with the people saying her damage is MODERATE. Her damage is Literally very good. Remember when everyone was massively impressed with her damage when she crits??? Yh. She's actually a more reliable nuke than mutants like gambit and bishop because she has alot of hits during her Sp2. Her damage was never the problem the problem is just getting everything in order to achieve that damage.

Kinda wish her neuroshocks were more potent, not as strong as onslaught, but it’s so weak.

Rank 3 sig 120 Dani Moonstar owner here.

For me she's a nuke champ especially thanks to Rank 3, she does not have to do the Sp1>SP2 rotation
because SP2 alone does enough to KO most Rank 3 defenders.

Current meta is tricky because she lacks the red burst damage but I still draft her a lot.
I attached Rank 3 sixstar Gambit Relic to her with CRIT Stat Focus.
Next Season might be tricky with her but I already have a plan how to work her around.
Previous season she was also used.

So yeah...she always in my deck.

I like Midstar for questing.
I don't like her for BGs. She doesn't do much outside few fights and metas hasn't been kind to her either.
I was a fan how smooth she felt to play, until I pulled her twice from my first three titans. And then came pure hatred towards MIDSTAR pre buff.

But in questing she is my number 1 used mutant attacker. The quests have asked a lot in terms of mutant nodes. She just nukes em all. I don't even use sp1 unless I need a slow.
