Dexterity Issue in BG

I've had this issue persistently through the past few Battlegrounds seasons, but for some reason in BG (only in BG, not in any other mode) it's like my dexterity mastery never works in any fight, because there will be times that I successfully dodge a special or other attack, but it will say that I just dodged it; the yellow dexterity notice doesn't pop up, and I still get the effect from the special, i.e. incinerate while dodging CGR's SP1 or a stun while dodging Fury's SP2. This issue has been prevalent for a long while now and while I am doing well in BG whilst having this issue, I could be doing better still if my Dex mastery was working in BG. No, I didn't turn it off, no it's not because of the champs I'm using or fighting. There's absolutely no reason for it. I spoke up about it a couple of seasons ago but Kabam never got back to me.

    Go to the battleground deck page. Select the apply mastery build button.
