To be completely honest I'd rather see Original Angel drop with Cyclops than Jean.

I feel like an OG angel would lose all that's great about AA.

If they do add OG Angel, they should make him the exact opposite of AA. So while AA deals most of his damage through lots of debuffs, Angel should primarily gain buffs to deal damage instead

What would his synergy with Archangel be like? Also OG Angel should deal damage on special and basic hits, via furies and prowess contrast to Archangel's dot (and lack of prowess)

Idk but prominent mutants usually came together, like sinister and havok, prof x and apocalypse, toad and sauron. Since most mutants have interlinked story, this makes sense.

A buff for phoenix would be sufficient
Phoenix needs not a buff, but a complete overhaul.

A Mutant Class Jean Grey would be a much more preferable option, allowing a brand new character they can pour all of their time and energy into.

Then, in the future, they could give Phoenix a buff that would suffice.
Phoenix absolutely doesn't need an overhaul. She needs a black panther cw level buff at most
True, but I would like her animations to be a bit smoother as I realized her medium into specials don’t always connect

It connects if you wait until the end of the medium animation, like with any multi hit medium

If Jean Grey will be the trophy champ or 2025 released champ, they need to do her justice.

In her base kit, fighting as the mutant jean Grey, whenever she's knocked out, The Phoenix Force emerges to keep her alive, and passively becoming indestructible, unstoppable and unblockable, gains a couple of 200% fury buff for 45 seconds.

Kabam please make it happen.
