Missing Champ for Royal Hunt

Does anyone feel like it’s a little unfair to base the completion of royal hunt on the fact that you have any version of a certain champion, in a game where the champions you get are by chance.

I’m a paragon player and I have never gotten any version of killmonger in my time playing. Normally that wouldn’t matter, but unless I can get lucky in the next few weeks, I cannot complete the royal hunt.

I get it defeats the purpose of the riddle, but it would be nice if they could give out a 3* version of the champs after a while to ensure that the event can be completed by everyone and not left up to whether or not you’ve pulled a certain champ from a crystal by chance.

I agree. I’m hoping there is going to be a way to make sure you get at least a 3* version to complete these. Locking tickets behind RNG seems unfair and unnecessary. I wasn’t impacted this week but it’s definitely a possibility.

Though I'm sure we'll be seeing these champs for sale in some way or another toward the tail end of this event.

It would be nice to have a free 2* version at some point, given that it's not really possible to farm champions in hope of having the one you want...

I get that these missions are riddles, so giving us the champions needed directly would make no sense. Just please, allow us to get them before the event ends.

That’s my only problem with it, the RNG of getting a specific champ. Most fights in the game are meant to target a range of champions, not just 1 specific champion. MCOC is a game of gambling and luck, so the likelihood of getting him in the next few weeks just by opening crystals are really slim.

It sucks since I’ve been playing since 2016, and the fact I have been unable to get any star version of one champion could prevent me from getting a free rank up gem.

And apparently, we were supposed to only use the one champions in our fights, so beat BP with KM and DD with Elektra without any other champions lowering their lives beforhand...

We'll just have to go F* ourselves with our poor luck and pray to get a 4-5 star version of the needed champions in the coming days..

Yes, you can do Black Panther and Daredevil like this, but you won't be able to do the next four this way unfortunately

yeah, at this point I have every 3* and 4* (except a couple special ones?). but I’m compulsive.

I hope y’all are right, and that an emergency mass mailer of like 3*or 4* will happen (and they’ve done similar before), but having a required champ before even knowing you need them is unfair. they gotta fix this.

No, any rarity is usable. They were exaggerating the point of not having any rarity of the required champ.

It is odd that this hunt is so specific that it requires using a specific champ AND fighting a specific champ. I can't think of a time where both have been required.

You guys realize that you can’t use 3 and 4 stars in act 6 right? Which is where all these bounties are taking place. So you pretty much need the champ 5 star or above rarity

I mean I can understand why you may think that, but requiring a fleshed out roster is completely different from having a specific champ. There has never been an event or quest that says “You need this specific champ or else you can’t complete it”. Even people with fleshed out rosters run the risk of never having gotten a certain champion. The only way to get champions (outside of the chance they come into arena) is by spinning a crystal that gives you a random champion.

Most events, say like event quest nodes or SoS, require a certain umbrella of champs to play against a node, but to restrict completion based off a singular champion in a game built around getting characters through randomized crystals is just straight up unfair, because it is never guaranteed to get that champion even with 1 million crystals opened

If it comes to BG, Carina challenges or Everest contents, I would agree. When it comes to an event like this, I don't. I'm valiant, I've done everything in the game, yet I don't have Destroyer for example even as a 3*.

Already having completed chapter 6.4 and being able to run it with an Elektra/KM r1 in your team is already enough conditions to deserve these rewards.

No need to add "Don't be unlucky bro" to the requirements.

Check your roster to make sure you have the next 4 champs needed:
Vision AoU
Antman
Shuri
Venom

Otherwise, start popping any champ crystal you got and hope lady luck is with you!

It is okay to design a quest with huge limitations. It is not okay to put banquet tickets behind such a quest.

I get the idea behind having a certain champ to achieve this goal since we are talking about a huge rank up ( 7* 1-2 gem). However I don't like having to rank up champs we never use to one shot the defender. Then I remember not everything is meant for everyone to complete which is why I skipped the summer of pain event.

I would just chip the target down and finish them off with champ that meets the objective requirement.
That’s what i did with the “do you bleed” black panther,..Domino did the work and then quit out at 5% health remaining,..then brought in my 6* r1 Electra to finish him off.

Except you can't do it for the remaining 4 fights. The fight is intended to be soloed. But because of a bug you can get point even if you didn't solo, and kabam is aware of this. They aren't going to fix it this week so you can quit and chip off at 2% health. But you can't do it next week.

In the other thread, Kabam said that was a bug and the last 4 will require a solo. He didn’t clarify if that meant only use the specified champ and revives are ok or if he meant one-shot, no revive solo.

honey...this is a game. you can't being using "this content isn't made for you?" take here. lol If it is a $9,500 chanel handbag and you are making a minimum wage, yes your logic is valid since the handbag is not for you. But this game and champ pulls rely on RNG. Pus If you're not a TB, you won't be see certain objectives anyway.

I always wonder how many crystal shards people are hoarding when I see posts like this one. If you aren’t hoarding and it’s an account over a year old I actually feel for the person a bit.

But if you have been playing for a while and you are sitting on hundreds of thousands of shards, then it’s a you problem. Some players never had to deal with rosters limiting them in content these days and event like this make that stick out
