Storm vs Autumn of Agony

Why am I taking reflect damage if I'm only throwing SP2s and not parrying? It takes more than 8 seconds to reach my next L2 so any cleanse from debuffs it causes wouldn't be an issue. The Mister Sinister relic only does debuffs to myself (0 damage bleed) so that shouldn't do it. What am I missing here? I thought she was supposed to be one of the good X-Factor champs (I don't have Domino) but I can't get more than 2-3 SP2s off before I'm dead.

I just finished the Control: Denial run with my new 7 star Red Skull, was able to do it with only 2 revives. 20% then 21% then 59% to KO. I can't get more than 15% with Storm in one attempt, usually less than 10% (her PL is just under 15k, RS was just over 20k)

Are you sure she doesn’t have cleanse on before you throw your special? If she does she will cleanse the debuffs she gets from the node when you throw your special and reflect it.

That must be it. I tend to get tunnel vision in a fight and it's hard to see all the buffs going on, I just know I didn't do anything to activate a debuff (other than throwing the SP2). Thanks

It’s the trickiest part of the fight. Just make sure there’s no green thingy on her when you throw the sp2. Sometimes it can happen that she will get the cleanse because there was no time to do the light ending combo. Then it’s best to just parry and wait it out.

I just resumed a Storm vs Jabari Panther video I'd been watching before I started my run, and within 20 seconds it started talking about making sure not to L2 when the cleanse is up, but to use L3 instead. So yeah, screwed myself over by not finishing the video and thinking I was gtg. Gonna try again in the morning when I have a bunch more energy to throw at so I can see how far I can get without reviving. Have to remember to keep an eye out for that solid green buff/passive.

Thanks for the input, finished it this morning after ranking her a little more. Dropped her to 73% health first shot, decided to revive and push, screwed up and did like nothing next shot, then dropped her to about 20% on the next attempt. 3 revives and done, not bad for a 6R3 Storm.
