I am at a crossroads

Should I go all out and spend my remaining units on a couple more R3s and be broke for Banquet or save the remaining units for Banquet?

Go for broke, unless your alliance has a minimum banquet requirement.

I’d probably buy them. There’s still a bit of time to grind back potentially 4-5k units before banquet which would give you some room to work with the lower milestones. Just know that what you’re probably sacrificing is one of those gifted guardians crystals, but I’d still say this is better value.

Guaranteed bang for your buck vs gambling on banquet crystals. If you’ve got the units and can get what you want now I think go for it now. But that’s based on last years banquet crystals being below expectation. Who knows what this year will bring…

Thank you all for commenting, I ended up spending them. Got Photon and Vox to R3 and have 6 T4A to spare. As Nemesis said, I’ll probably be able to accumulate a couple thousand units before banquet + the 13 crystals from the sinister event.
