What these people need to understand is BGs is not the only game mode, there are other very enjoyable modes as well. Sentry will be good in most areas, even potentially war as he is tactic. He'll also be useful in Act 9.2 and onwards due to large healthpools.

I think a lot of people primarily evaluate new / reworked champs through the lens of BGs because that’s the place where they can make the biggest difference in your experience. You can use them a ton, you learn their strengths / weaknesses, etc.

I’m curious about Sentry’s buff, but honestly, I don’t need another champ to get through incursions, or 9.2 or whatever. Unless he’s a really unique ramp-up champ with specific ways of impacting a fight’s dynamics…? Probably won’t matter much to a lot of people. (I watched DLL’s spotlight video; seems like Sentry will be strong but definitely a long, multi-fight ramp.)

To be fair those, it is all about how each player play this game.

While for I'm not good enough to take BG seriously, so these a champs that I don't bother with.

But for the like of KT1, Andrew, Bero, Trapy, BG is the only mode that they really concentrate on, so for them "slow" champs is not interesting.

In KT1 video he didn't say the Sentry was bad, just that he might not be useful in a lot of places. In a way like a Science version of Aegon.

I love Aegon and so thanksful I got him and ranked him up for Necropolis, but I have use him since even though I always want to find a way or reason to use him.

I think KT1 have his point. For me I don't have a Sentry higher than a 5* and are hoping that I get a higher rarity soon, and will rank him if he is essential for Necropolis, but that is just me, each to their own. Live and let live 😊

Cant expect all 6/6 champs to be perfect for BG’s, tbh I was expecting one champ to be better in long form content tbh, Sentry is gonna be like Marmite, you’ll love him or hate him, and that’s okay.

He's immune to fate seal though and nullify. But not stagger or neutralize

But on a serious note, not every champ needs to be a BG champ, but the game revolves around BGs at the moment whether you want to admit it or not, or whether you like it or not. Incursions is pure RNG, you can get road blocked in room 10 if things dont line for you. We don't get new everest or story content every month. So the main game modes left are AW and BGs. AW doesn't promote champ acquisition. All you need is 1 or 2 spenders in a BG to get the champ and that's it, no one else will care about that champ. BG is a 1 v 1 mode, that makes champs appealing to a broader group of people since everyone playing the mode will want that champ in their roster.

KT1 and his audience do nothing but complain about everything. Even if you go into the big reveals for new content and buffs the most liked comments are from people going “kabam bad, free stuff bad, anything they do bad.” I’m a battlegrounds player but Medusa, BPCW, Sentinel, DPXF all look good for BG level content. Purgatory and Sentry being designed for questing type content is absolutely fine

I 10000% agreed with KT1 and many others disliking the new sentry buff. He is now considered the science aegon.
When was the last time you used Aegon??? yeah few years ago when Necropolis came out, so when the next End game long form content comes out, thats when we will be using sentry so maybe another 2 years before this new content is released.

And what about incursions? vast majority of players don't play that, in fact nobody who plays this name competitively even cares about incursions.

What a waste of space and time, we waited all this time for this buff, and look at what we got. extremely dissapointed, hopefully im wrong and hes bonkers.

Should reserve judgement until the buff is available to the player base. You're basing this opinion off KT1 reading off an ability sheet. Generally, the community is able to find many more uses. And KT1 is generally just negative because it gets him views.

I know people are disappointed because it’s sentry but there’s no other long form science champ and that’s a nice niche to have. Purgs is great from the get go, her ramp makes her better but she can stand on her own. I will reserve my judgement for sentry till I get my hands on him

He seems strong when ramped, how fast he ramps and how viable he is when it comes to regular questing or necro should be seen. I had very high hopes for Northstar, thinking he will become a main stay in necro teams. With how nerfed Northstar is for the only content he is designed for I feel worried when kabam gives us an everest champ.

Honestly, the TLDR here is just to not expect every single new champ release or new reworked champ to be an insane BGs nuke. Seriously, not every champ needs to be a 10/10 cheat code that can easily do sub-30 fights. There are multiple other ways to play the game, and these BGs sweats just need to realize that

To be fair it’s “his opinion”,..and he does state that people are free to disagree with him.
He does also make the point of defensive value and offensive value in other game modes not being necessary the most ideal.
I haven’t subscribed to any of the mcoc youtube gang tbh,,,but I appreciate that he is direct and to the point with his opinions and doesn’t try to water them down or hype champion buffs or releases up.
I find his opinions his own and fair enough,..and i take every Mcoc youtube creators opinion with a grain of salt,…and base my final opinions on champions through testing them myself.

Lol, its the only mode that matters (to you). Some players play to chase being a Celestial, and some players play to just waste time and unwind.

So, the fact that a Champion Buff or New Champion caters to one audience or another, is not a good enough reason to loudly yell at people of the different audience that a champion is TRASH!!!!!

Agree, but I would say it requires a LOT of specific champs. AW requires specific champs as well, but if you are running a lane consistently, you build the champs you need and it’s usually just a handful — many of whom have been in the pool for a long while.
