Hi Does Banquet start on Friday (20th)? And will there be buying bonuses like with the cyber event? So if you buy packages you get more stuff + units and the units can be used for banquet crystals? Or is it just about buying banquet crystals?

Usually not, they have banquet crystals at a discounted rate of unit value. Xmas sales might have extras, not as big as CM.
Usual discount is like 10 banquet crystals (3k units) for 49.99

This is my first year playing. If I have 10 Greater Banquet Crystal Tokens will that even get me anything decent? I don't have units left after CM and don't plan on spending money.

I’m in the same position. I have 3k units and then an extra few crystals from the sinister bundle. It might not be much for a lot of players but I’ve only been playing a few months so think it’ll make a good difference to my account

There have been X mas sales in previous years. And I might be wrong; but i think one of the attached items on some deals were actually banquet crystals
As Monkeynuts posted, there has been pleny of vids about it, I can't remember the contents; they are not as good as CM; but there might have some banquet crystals in them.

There have been X mas sales in previous years. And I might be wrong; but i think one of the attached items on some deals were actually banquet crystals

Last year starting Christmas, they had $5-$100 unit packages in the webstore with 50% extra units free. So an Odin gave a little over 5100 units, etc, etc for the others.
