The Road to Isophyne

So we're currently 31% through the event timeframe, and are 84% of the way to Isophyne points-wise.
Would it be an unprecedented surprise if the community didn't get through the final 16% of the points in the remaining 69% of time?
Or can people who haven't reached her milestone safely rack up the necessary points if they so desire? Or would it be safer to wait for the milestone to be reached by the community before making the journey there oneself?

Over the next 16 hours or so people will be getting Christmas and Chanukah gifts. Those gifts will probably include Apple and Google Play gift cards that will contribute to this event. Surprisingly enough, we should make it there.
