How should I use my units?

Was just considering this now, thought the community would help me decide

I’m a few milestones away from the key for the ally rewards in banquet. The SBCs are pretty trash ofc but the key has some value and I really want 3/6 of the champs

I have no consumables left but I do have enough units (I’m keeping extra as a safety net) to get the Carina challenges done this week. Do y’all think I should risk the one key spin or ignore it entirely and just finish carinas now?

The gifted guardian crystal champs entered basic pool 12 months after release, if the same is true for the glorious guardians then the champ you want could potentially enter your roster in 12 month. And even then it may be a while before you pull them from the crystal as the pool of champs will expand a lot by then.

In my opinion if it was me, i’d go for the key if you really want 3 of the 6 champs. Because carina can be done later but a limited time, this will be your best chance to get 1 of the 3.

Obviously tho, carina is more guaranteed rewards (titan and 7* shards) so it does have that benefit.

Btw who are the champs you want?

Yeah that’s true. My Titan luck has been awful too lol, the biggest drive for completing Carina’s rn for me is the awakening gem and the 2-3 gem.

I wanted Medusa and DPX the most, purgy next. I have no way to awaken BPCW so he wouldn’t get much use from me and I’m unsure about sentinel.

Carinas can wait. You can do those for free with patient grinding of apothecary and DSEs. There really isn't any need to rush those imo.

You're a few milestones away, which means you're not only getting the key, but whatever milestones lead up to it.

Carinas are permanent content that you can do another day.

No brainer decision, go for the key.
Even if you don't get who you want, it's a guaranteed 7* and all 6 actually have use in the game in some form.

I still have Carinas left to do but they'll still be there when I've built up my stash of units again. Right now I'm focused on getting the best rewards from the Banquet. As others have said, those champs are most likely going to disappear for a year after the Banquet is over. If you still want any of the remaining ones, I'd go for them.

We still don't know when the Deathless Thanos quest drops, other than "Sometime in January". It could be January 31, for all we know. Then you have to complete that quest, and then do a whole Necro run for the dupe.

At least for me, I've just accepted that I won't be able to blitz through all of the Carinas before the Deathless Thanos quest. I'm chilling with it and focus on building up my roster so that I can deal with the various challenges as best I can. As such, I've kind of welcomed the overabundance of rank-up resources from the crystals, even if they aren't terribly exciting. They've just been exactly what I need.

Carinas are permanent content so if you asked me they shouldnt be a consideration. Rather you could look at spending now for the key versus saving for july 4 which has its guaranteed value in most likely a 2024 selector next year.

Btw of the guardians. The main 2 good ones are deadpool and medusa right? Sentinel is also one to fairly target?

The thing with medusa is you probably would want to get her duped which youre looking at going all in for the AG

Challenges are permanent content and you can farm all the revives you need from daily events and quests. Go get the key

Got BPCW. He’s a nuke but he wants that awakened ability for faster BG fights and I don’t have a way to get that for a long time unless I pull a skill gem from carina’s. Still happy (even tho I wish it was Medusa or DPX) just thankful for no sentry

I don't think he needs another buff. Just some adjustments to make him more viable anywhere tbh. His ramp is waaaaaaay too long. If they can shorten it that would be nice.

As a matter of fact I started testing with sentry on my phone 3 hours ago and he's still not done ramping as of right now when I'm typing this on my pc.
