Is there any point in keeping glorious guardians sig stones until next year?

It took us a year to get Adam Warlock, Sandman, Diablo and other previous year guardians from luxury crystal pool into basic crystal, and i presume this time its gonna be the same story.

My question is, is there any point in keeping the sig stones that are only usable on these particular 6 champions until there is opportunity to get desired one?
Sadly the only good for my taste glorious guardian from gacha, that i got, was Purgatory.
She is r3 now, and awakened, but i don't see the point in feeding her sig stones. Her awakening ability is not strong, and does not scale well.
On other hand, i would be really interested taking Medusa or my favorite boy Sentinel to sig 200.
But i don't know if the sig stones will even be usable by the moment when i will get them as 7 stars.

What should i do?

I am still holding an Omega days AG in the event I someday pull a Longshot. I did, however, spend my sig stones in Omega Red about four months after the event ended. I have an assortment of stones and gems from other events as well.

If you don’t think Purgatory needs sigs (she probably doesn’t) and you have impulse control, just sit on them until an AG rolls around or there is another crystal that adds the GG champs.
