His last livestream had a "career favorite moments" compilation. Felt very much like a farewell. My guess, he retired to do real life. YT probably doesn't pay the bills these days

I mean, maybe? But why just leave the scene without making it official? Yes, he doesn't owe anyone anything, but after being such a staple of the MCOC community for awhile, it just seems weird to quietly fade away.

I remember the last time that kabam let the whales buy the next progression level of champion a couple years ago during banquet it really annoyed BG and he took a step back for a while because of the game state. Maybe he is just annoyed again with kabam letting the credit card skills become the most important skill in the game again.

I don’t know that he’s the type to make an announcement like that. If he’s done, the black screen with the “Thank you. For everything.” in his last stream seems like his way of saying it.

I'm wondering now too if he had plans to come back after the holidays but once banquet was over he said screw it.
Given BG's is most endgame players main thing now, a FTP player is only gonna fall further and further behind at this point.

Looking back at his posts around the new year going from 2023 into 2024, he posted on December 19, 2023, Jan 6, 2024, and Jan 31, 2024.

Obviously not a thorough search I’ve done here, but that’s not terribly inconsistent with what’s happening now. Still makes sense to me that he’s just taking a break from the game/posting for the time being. And if he makes it permanent, well, that’d be a bummer because I’ve always liked his content but ultimately it’s his call as to what’s best for him.

It’s not our business. If BG wants to stop, he can stop. If he told his friends in the community not to publish it, then it is good that they did not do that. I’m bummed to see him go, I really enjoyed his content. But it’s his life, and we should all respect his choice here.
