Multiple Level Objectives - Claiming (new change, or just this one ?)

So, used to be (at least, most of the time) that you had to CLAIM one Level of a Multi-Level Objective, before being able to proceed into the next Level's worth of (fights, or whatever).

Then we got this new one, regarding additional Summoner's Choice Votes.

And these are all stacking up, without having to Claim in the middle of you doing a Quest, or Arena, etc.

    Thats nice but i like claiming one at a time do the fight claim as its what im used to but i guess it fixes people issues of not claiming properly

    Don’t know if there was any other similar Multi Level Objective in December, and new Jan update doesn’t come until next week.

    So was it something that was changed in code for December (just couldn’t realize until now), or was this always something possible to do (but they just chose not to design prior objectives like that) ?

    Think in the past there may (?) have been instances where it worked like this, but very rarely (or mis-remembering)
