Anyone in the know in terms of the what/where/when details can be revealed to us?

Just curious if anyone has been in a livestream of late and heard an update as to when they can spill some beans
Appreciate it!
My issues with it are that it was invite only, not even everyone in the CCP was permitted to join AND in-game prizes were provided to people in attendance.
Optics of these things are very basic. It's the 10 year anniversary of the game an you cancelled the public event everyone was looking forward to and instead host a private invite only event AND give away in-game prizes...
Could there not have been a public meet/open-invitation where the anniversary is celebrated, prizes are given out, maybe small things are teased and while that's going on certain creators are then taken aside and shown additional NDA sneak peak content, asked for input, etc?
Just looking forward to the outcome of it
...and some of the people they invited weren't even CCP members or really content creators lol. No shade to anyone but that's very lame on Kabam's part.
Sure it can make you sad. But you got to ask yourself “why does this make me sad?”
If they'd just disclosed the event and explained to all of us before we had to learn about it in that way, it would've spared a lot of hurt feelings. I was FAR from the only person who was sad over this.
I know they can invite whoever they want lmfao. That's incredibly obvious. It goes without saying. It's more about the lack of consideration. Anyways, if I discuss more about it then it will be on my platforms.
The sore truth is they don’t owe you a heads-up, an explanation, or an apology. They put on an event for a select few, and you weren’t one of them - as much as that sucks. I hope this doesn’t eat you up too much for too long.
But in this scenario of yours, if the boss starts handing out bonuses but only to those in attendance, it becomes an HR issue.
Not the point I or Slayer were trying to make though and I feel like you know that.
Are you suggesting there’s an HR equivalent here that can step in and discipline Kabam for not inviting you?
Or is it because attendees got a “gift” that you’re defining as a bonus?
I think I understand your points. You feel like Kabam owed you an explanation for not inviting you, or an apology for how it was communicated - something along those lines.
I just don’t agree with you. And it’s OK to disagree. We’re talking about subjective views on something.
I’m not trying to convince you, just saying that it’s an optics bundle that very easily could have been avoided and in doing so, avoid alienating people.
I think it’s questionable to have an invite only gathering and to also give out prizes that can impact the game and people’s accounts to those in attendance.
I’d think that even if I had been invited.
I don’t think Kabam owes an apology. At least that’s not what I’m asking for, I’d never have been expected to be invited anyway, I’m not even part of the CCP.
I am disappointed that a public event was cancelled. I am disappointed that an invite only one was hosted and that it was kept super secret.
Apologise? For what. What will that do. We’ve all already heard about how they acknowledge they should communicate better and be more transparent.
Aside from grumbling about prizes being given out - but on this point I will acquiesce as one could argue it’s like the prizes given out to people who participated in a beta test.
Communication of what was being planned in advance to it happening would have smoothed over a lot of things. The position the people who were invited got placed in was just as awkward as the position of those not invited.
It all became a very hushed “if you know you know” sort of atmosphere and that just made it seem even more shady. It’s the ten year anniversary and they know the general public has been looking forward to some big summoners gathering. Another showdown, some celebration, etc…. But that was cancelled, and instead there’s an invite only function. In game prizes are given out. No communication is made.
This all from a company who consistently pushes out that communication and transparency (when possible) is something they’re actively looking at improving because they’ve acknowledged failures in the past.
Perhaps I’m wrong - that’s okay too. It just rubbed me the wrong way.
I just don’t agree with him. That’s all. Not going to change my view and pander because he has a YouTube channel.
And you say “a content creator like Slayer” - I’ve never heard of him. But having had a wee look - no face to the YouTube channel, and predominantly CGR based content.
Granted, a very brief look. So I may well be way off - but he certainly isn’t as big a content creator for me as he is for you.
