I absolutely don’t have the patience for this type of stuff

Still I am guessing by the fact that it exists there is a demographic in the fandom that really enjoys long fights ? Good for them I guess

From a not very competitive players point of view, the 6* r5 gem are actually amazing for me. I have a lot of champs that are 6* that could benefit from being r5, however i don’t want to waste cat resources on them when i can use them on 7*.

Not every account will have every sought out champ that are exclusively 6* to the highest rank. So these resources are good for those players. And that is where the target for the quest comes down to. If you don’t see it as value then don’t play it. It’s not like they took away from the typical showcase to add this. It’s additional content for those who want to do it.

Both the main showcase and deathless quest (if you at least have 1 deathless champ, gives a 7* r2. So focus your resources on those.

Exactly — it’s just extra content. There have been times when people have complained there isn’t enough new content. Again, people have the right to complain. But it is also true that nobody has to do it

6*s are no where near irrelevant, but 6* rank up gems are irrelevant. If I want to r5 a 6*, I can just use cats lol.

The latter here is where I disagree. Especially using T6CC on 6*. No thank you, not when I’m starving for that on my 7*.

But on the 6* topic, you can definitely see their waning importance, especially as 2025 will roll on. Are they still viable for top players now? Sure, but only a few are hanging on. Will they be viable end of the year? I’m skeptical

I'll never understand the mindset of "6* are done". An Ascended 6R5 already equals a 7R2 (basically), and a regular 6R5 basically equals a 7R1. There is virtually no content that is too strong for that. So why not take the opportunity to use/rank strong Champs that don't exist/you don't have as 7* yet.

6* are absolutely still worthwhile, unless you're a super whale who has nearly every 7* Champ at R3. Pretending they aren't is just a weird elitist mindset.

I’m fine with the rewards for the time and resources invested. With that said…

Here’s where your analysis misses the mark:

I’ve already taken 32 6-stars to r5. So my reward is a 33rd and 34th most desired 6-star to r5, or a niche rankup for BGs or other content cheese purposes.

I made the choice to try to do something fun with mine when I use it.
