Sometimes I need to go and make a sandwich during a BG fight, or watch a YouTube Short. If they removed pausing in BGs it would be really inconvenient.

why is torch solid, I've actually seen him nuke alot of matchups which I had not expected him to, or personally never got the same outcome using him, is there some sort of kit he has which lets him do that?

Just curious about the serpent fight aswell since I'm planning to r5 torch or electro and this might help me.

Just curious about the serpent fight aswell since I'm planning to r5 torch or electro and this might help me.

Serpent sp1 builds his heat charges and provides a fear debuff (willpower) so he can stay pretty high health throughout the fight. More heat charges = more damage. I’ve taken this fight a few times and always end in 60-70 seconds with above 80 health. This is against a 6 star, would not recommend it against a 7 star.

Don't use Torch against Serpent in the current BG season unless you're aiming for a ceiling of 30-35k score.

It's incredible, that till now, Kabam didn't removed Pause button on BG.

This is not anymore a fight game, but a Pause game.

And dont say , if you dont win over 15k you deserve it.

I may contact support on this issue in a few days with the idea to the summoner that is absent of the match for 20+ seconds instant lose.

So, it will be for the ones that actually pause in game and others that just put the phone down or do another thing.

These people should be ashamed of what they do.

Even entire matches with pause.

I've lost 2 rounds to a pauser at least a few times in my 8 months of playing this game. Sometimes because I sucked, sometimes because of external issues (gameplay issues, distractions, etc.). I didn't get upset that they were pausing. I just play to play and learn and improve, I don't really care whether an opponent pauses or even straight up mods and cheats. We're not playing for money, so such behavior is absurd to me and makes me sad for them.

Its cheap, its unsportsmanlike, its not cheating.
Feeling cheated is not the same as cheating.
People literally lost to someone who paused, got beat by a score of 15k points. Saying I lost to a pauser they cheated, its a false assumption that they would have won if they didn't pause, which we will never know and most likely they would have lost regardless. Calling it cheating seems like a scapegoat to assume defeat.

1. Some of us use the pause button for other reasons. If I'm fighting a champ that I'm unfamiliar with and they're buff heavy, or all of a sudden they start placing all of these damn debuffs, I have to pause and read all of that to see what's going on. Some of these champs have abilities that are complex encyclopedia's.

2. Or if the game gets buggy, or the AI starts doing the most AI things ever, then I'll pause and start recording the fight to get proof of what it's doing.

3. Sometimes life and unexpected things may get in the way of a fight, and player has to pause to take care of that.

4. The pause button extends across all game modes. If Kabam removes it in BGs, wouldn't they have to remove it everywhere too?

Does there need to be some type of management for pauses that last for the duration of the fight? MAYBE. But does that mean Kabam should remove the pause button in BGs? Absolutely not.

Pause is here for a reason, so let's keep it.

Someone pausing the fight doesn't stop me from reaching Uru and higher.

No, I meant actual cheaters; I wasn't saying pausers are cheaters. I meant people who use mods and the like. Whether I run into someone who pauses on purpose, or even someone who actually cheats, it makes me sad for them rather than angry. The whole enjoyment of this game for me is the challenge, which includes losing, and learning from those losses and hopefully improving.

I think it would be pretty straightforward for Kabam to implement mode-specific UI elements and logic to remove the pause button from BG without having it affect anything else. They just have decided that it's worthwhile to keep it, I assume for many of the legitimate reasons you laid out in your post.

Pause is a feature? Don't y'all feel the urge to drink water or feel itchy or even take a piss in middle of a match? Also on ny device when a call comes in middle of a match and I cut it, it I'll pause the game. If pause button is removed it will kick me out of the match? Is that fair.

Yes some people abuse it, so what? It's still a strategy, even if it's a cheap one. If you're losing to pausers consistently you don't deserve to go beyond diamond 5 lol.
