Now we got Valiants complaining about matchmaking...

Don't you know? Valiant is the new Cav progression. In all seriousness, it is pretty easy to get 2 r3s without having a larger roster as shown by the Valiant speedruns people do. So the roster disparity even amongst Valiants is huge.
Nah I know that, specially on Jan after banquet.
Played X years, complain about the ammount of content, if the content was actually completed his roster wouldn't have such disparity. Saying his deck has 20k and opponent 30k pretty much tells you he must be a new Valiant, which at this point is the same as saying Paragon+. The average end game player has what? 15+ r3s?
I’ve always assumed my roster strength was a little above average and I have 19.

At the moment my deck’s average rating is 25870 (no recoil). But I have alts whose decks are half that strength that are still reasonably competitive in VT. A 20k deck (assuming the rank ups are smart) should be strong enough to get you into GC eventually with some effort.

30k average decks are still an unusual sight except in the higher tiers of GC (absent recoil).
We are in the same spot, I also assume you and I did a similar ammount of content, which explains why 19-20 is a similar ammount of r3s.
We don't complain about the ammount of content, we do it, get the rewards, get the champs and rank them up. Having someone complain about the ammount of content and then about roster disparity doesn't make any sense to me.

Let me preface this by saying that I appreciate that this game exists. With that out of the way let's discuss how Kabam can improve :)

    1. A complete lack of understanding of their target audience

I suspect you don't understand who their target audience is.

Also note: any and every person who would interface with this forum and these comments reports up to someone whose compensation is tied to the revenue generated by the above target audience.

Doesn't mean you stop asking for better conditions, but if you're one of the above you'd have a better chance of being heard.

On a final note: I wouldn’t be so hard on the team if everything was going smoothly and people in the game weren't complaining all the time. Where there is a problem or an error there is an opportunity to build transparent relationships with your player base.

Everything else aside, I do just want to say that I think this is fair and correct, or rather the last sentence. I do like to look at issues (though I wish they didn't happen in the first place haha) as opportunities to get feedback and course correct. Now, I don't think a lot of this feedback is currently actionable, but I do appreciate you taking the time to write it out and share your thoughts. One way or another discussion is useful for all of us.

Side note for the mention of why the McDonalds folks don't hire someone to clean/fix the machines: it's because until very recently they legally weren't able to because of a contract McD's corporate had with a specific repair company that was the only one authorized to work on the machines. Thankfully right to repair laws have opened that up so maybe broken McD's icecream machines will be a thing of the past (not holding my horses but one can hope haha).
I know for a fact that during rush business hours, some places use the ice cream machine excuse cause they don't want to lose time making the precious McFlurry. Matter of fact a lot of stores don't even use the mixing machine, they just put the toppings on top of the soft serve. 😑

I think people who play infrequently or very casually in terms of time can sometimes fall into the trap of seeing all rewards as either game changing or worthless. Those of us that play everything know it all adds up. We do everything because we see what doing everything has gotten us, so we keep doing it. Someone who only plays occasionally is looking for something that will instantly leapfrog them forward and of course almost nothing does. So they think nothing is worth doing, so they don’t do much, so they keep falling behind.

This can easily turn into a vicious cycle of always thinking nothing is worth doing, and thus the problem is with the game. Even though everyone else above them got there playing the same game, and they aren’t all whales.

I don’t think this is all casual players, or all time limited players, or even lots of them. I think it’s just the minority whose expectations do not match their drive to achieve them.

Technically, the law governing this hasn’t changed. Rather, the law enforcing this has been the DMCA, which allowed the vendor to claim that the security lockouts that prevented people from working on the machines was a security measure that could not legally be tampered with. The law has a carve out exemption that allows the copyright office to declare certain use cases to be exempt from the law, and they decided to issue an exemption for “diagnosis, maintenance, and repair of commercial and industrial equipment.” This explicitly includes food preparation equipment, aka McDonalds shake machines.

These exemptions are temporary, last for three years, and must be explicitly renewed upon request to continue to be valid.

Matched against players with average 30k per champion in battlegrounds
    I’m almost there
    See you in battlegrounds

Trying to eliminate every single issue and/or bug before releasing new features/content isn't likely to happen. And Definitely more difficult than you'd probably guess to imagine with so many variables :^( those are here to stay unfortunately

Hey guys, OP Here! Thanks for feedback and engagement! I can see that a majority of y’all disagree and thats cool, so im here to address some stuff:

    1. this Isn’t a hidden post about battlegrounds, otherwise i would have just kept it short.
    2. Yes i do have a life outside this game besides posting on these forums
    3. I don't know everything, i’m just trying to help the company and the community out a bit
    4. The attention is not important to me, I just want this game to do well
    5. I don't want the kabam team to be super stressed with everything which is why I suggested a break to fix bugs and other things

Regardless I hope everyone is doing well and thanks for commenting, I appreciate all of you immensely :)@KabamPinwheel my bad if this advice was too out there, Just wanted to help and give feedback. I would love to understand and discuss why you guys do certain things at kabam so I can learn more about the company and just grow in my understanding in general, but I get that thats not possible all the time.

I agree with everything said except battlegrounds. Of course same group of shills come and work on their manipulation to steal value from the topic.

Yeah Kabam, continue with this. I bet this will get you somewhere…

Not gonna lie, don't know what most of this said because I stopped reading after "5+ years on the forums almost every day".

You've been on the forums for less than 4 years; 1,407 days to be exact. In those 1,407 days, you've made 90 visits to the forums; an average of once every 15.6 days. In those 90 visits, you've made 10 posts (congrats on the milestone), for an average of 1 post every 9 visits, or for the sake of your claim, 1 post every 140.7 days.
By my math, you should be seeing this comment on or around February 6th and I should get a response sometime around June 11th. Looking forward to it.

    Matt doing maths

It would literally get them nowhere. You can't stop making content to fix bugs. That's not how it works. You can't community beta test releases because it would be impossible to release a beta, test it and then release it. There's a reason why story content betas are every six months.

We aren't shills because we disagree with what you or OP says. You call us shills because you don't have any better argument to counter what we've said.

If they stopped making content, the game dies.

Rewards are not a 20-30 minute fix.

BGs had roster based matchmaking before and people sandbagged.

The community thinks they need a personal response from a mod or community manger every time they post something. They also think they're entitled to know everything that happens at HQ. And if a mod says something they don't want to hear, they say they're gone deaf. Communication could be better overall but what OP asks for isn't what needs to happen.

If you agree with OP, you're as delusional as they are and you don't understand how the real world works.

I thought for a moment that this might be a quality thread. Then I started reading and realized, nope, it's not. Just another person begging for attention.

    Got all the classics here-
    1. Mods don't answer my threads with the exact answers I want so it's not transparent enough.
    2. Stop making new content until bugs are fixed.
    3. BGs is hard because other people have better rosters and I don't understand how competition works.

Begging for attention ??? Dude you spend your life on the Kabam forum shitting on people. Every time i come up here you already handed out 120 disagrees and left some negative comment on every single post you got the chance. You really have no life ??? Or you just really so sad that this is the only thing what brings you joy ??? You should get professional help !!!

Blablabla…I want the same rewards as those who has done content I can’t do…blablabla 🤦🏻‍♂️ Make it make sense ?!?!? 🤷🏻‍♂️

I’m a average valiant, pretty 💩 in other words, with 19 R3s and 28 R5As. Thats a healthy and normal number of R3s and R5As, for a solo player, if you do content, and get the 1500 - 2k units available in arena every week, to spend on CW/ spring cleaning.

Some has done even more content, does the ally bs, spent some money, got stronger decks, got better skills. Thats life. Cry about it.
