Previously De-Buffed champs

With the current shape of the game can we have old versions of champs that were nerfed due to being too strong at a point of time. OG Scarlet Witch, Namor, Dr Strange...

It would be cool to have the old versions of their abilities, especially since their current versions are not valued.

I'm not sure how they'd go about it without destabilising the game. The other thing is - they were designed for a different time, for something that is vastly different compared to the game that we have today.

OG Scarlet Witch has her uses. Namor is a bit underpowered but the damage is ok as a burst. Dr Strange - yeah, you can have that one.

Well there reworks be something different away from old kits they be reinvented for the new generation of gameplay and that

The lasting impact really wasnt the nerf it was the change in how different things were calculated. Basically diminishing returns. Yeah they were nerfed but that wasnt the drastic change that 12.0 was.

Pre-12.0 scarlet witch was a menace even by today's standards. I know, I had her. If she were reverted, she would still be game- breaking today.

Well, diminishing returns really killed OG Thor the most - the way armor breaks stacked pre-12.0 meant that a 4* awakened Thor could do a few parries and then demolish RoL Winter Soldier in a couple combos. 12.0 reduced the number of stacks but it was diminishing returns that really lowered his output.

Scarlet Witch I believe could stun/powerlock basically any fight without specific nodes - the crit rate reducing node in Labyrinth is specifically to stop her pre-nerf self. Diminishing returns weakened her crit rate, but she also got her chance to activate her sig dropped and I think some of the specific abilities had their rates adjusted.

Dr Strange was capable of pretty crazy regen for the time - he’s the one IMO most likely to be buffed back to a similar level just because there are more tools to deal with regen now, and he was the least absurdly broken.

Namor’s nerf was mainly just reducing his regen on specials moderately - basically they wanted to let him offset the recoil hit from spamming specials, but underestimated how much he could regen with willpower & suicides, since his sig let him reduce the damage from double edge/liquid courage. Wasn’t part of the 12.0/12.1 adjustments, IIRC he wasn’t even in game yet.

If DS was played right, he was immortal. Elements of SS were there for DS...the ability to tank specials, big crits on the sp2. The counterspell when awakened was the best nullify in the game. With no diminishing returns, 5/5 MD, you were having a good time.

Yeah because theres better champs but when he dropped he was still insane even after nerf issue hes always had is block damage he cant take which makes him less relevant when all these high attacks chew through but when he gets a 7 he be very good

Namor effectively got rebalanced, years before that was a thing. So did Human Torch.

Neither is getting changed back, or needs to be.

Namor's damage is insane, if you know how to use it.
