AQ an Alliance Changing Question.

If we wait for AQ rewards in our current alliance and then change alliances, can we join AQ in the new alliance?
If not, this is so frustrating. There will always be a week when you can’t get AQ rewards—either from your current alliance if you leave before the rewards are distributed so that you can join a new alliance to be eligible for AQ, or from the new alliance if you wait for the rewards and then join, only to find AQ has already started when the rewards are released.

You can join AQ in your new alliance after they finish the map that was running the day you joined. So you will miss day one if they start on Monday and that's when you make the switch, but you will be able to participate in the other 3 days. You will lose one day of map rewards, but will still qualify for weekly rewards.

Yeah. I joined on ally day 1 and we scheduled AQ on Days 2,3,5,7. I wasn't able to join aq on Day 2, thought maybe I need to be on ally for 24 hours before joining. Now on day 3 still couldn't join.

I contacted Support about this and got contradicting responses

First they said I can join AQ, but after they told me That I joined after AQ started and cannot join. Its been 3 days since I joined my new ally but still can't join AQ.

Question. It is raid week. Is your alliance running regular AQ maps, or are they doing raid? It could also be an issue with raid week in general. Once a raid has started, you can't join unless you were there before it started. If your alliance is doing regular AQ, that shouldn't be an issue, but that doesn't eliminate the possibility of raid regulations carrying over just because the game has a mind of its own sometimes.

Support should know better. You have to be in an alliance prior to a raid starting to be able to join at any point. It's different for AQ, but they should know how raids work.

Looks like it’s regular AQ, map 6. I’ve had some people able to join AQ right away, others were locked out for a week. Never could figure out why.

I am Ok with not able to join raids, but why can't I join normal AQ ?

1st one, when saying “you can then join new alliance's *Raids*” should have meant you can join *normal AQ maps* (once a new day's AQ maps 1-8 start)

2nd one, even though did NOT specify Raids, probably did mean that though, as this is Raids week. Probably assumed your new alliance was doing all Raids BG's, and so didn’t actually specify that, just implied “no, during Raids week, won't be able to join *Raids*”.

As to why prior person who said sometimes you can the very next day, whereas sometimes there are cases of not being able to all week. Don’t know why that is.

Thus the last sentence in the full earlier reply, regarding occassional bugged in not being able to do so.

When following up with Support, you should make it clear that it won’t let you even join a normal AQ day of Map 1-8.

If so, that would have locked you out for the WHOLE WEEK, because then it treats you as still being in the week long Raids with old alliance.
And wouldn’t even be able to join ANY AQ (neither Raids, nor Map-6) this week with new alliance.
Unlike normal map 1-8, which you would have been able to get in 1st day of say Map-6 in old alliance, then switch alliances, wait a day, and get into Map-6 with new alliance afterwards.

I didn't join Raids in my last ally. I just joined on day 1 of AQ week, Exactly ~11 hours 35 minutes from AQ start time, including the first 15 mins when we cannot join AQ.

I am going to stick with the theory that because it is currently raid week, and you're locked out of raids if they start before you join, that this lockout also wrongfully impacts AQ in the same week. It would be dumb, but given some of the other odd, cascading interactions in this game it wouldn't surprise me if that is the issue.

If you join AQ on day 1 of your old alliance it would be the reason you are being blocked you from joing AQ on your new Alliance. Your old alliance most likely register you to join their group for a week so it's blocking you from joining your new alliance. This would make sense since it's still showing you as register on the old alliance AQ for the duration of the week. Not sure if Kabam can fix this so you can join the new alliance's AQ this week.

I didn't join anywhere. I got this issue sorted by Kabam support, but don't know if I can share this solution.

I meant that if you joined the old alliance it would show on their big that you are there so Kabam doesn't want you to join a different one.

Guess you meant “I just joined **my new alliance** on day 1 of AQ week ….”

Sounded like you were saying you just joined only a normal AQ Map day on day 1 of old alliance (not Raids) before you switched to new alliance.

Not sure if it was mentioned, but raid week is the exception to AQ.

When you switch alliances during non-raid weeks, you can join AQ like 24 hours after you join. However, during raid weeks, you have to be in the alliance 24 hours before that week starts. You are not able to join even normal AQ maps during raid week if you join in after it starts.
