This is what drove me to make this post, because I basically had to dox myself to enter. It asked first for a way to validate my identity by providing a Google, YouTube, Twitch, Discord, account. Some of those are linked to my real name, because Google is Google and I don't really have a choice (I tried using Twitch and Discord, but the options went to broken links I couldn't use). I felt boxed in, unable to participate unless I disclosed to this unknown service, which I've never used before, who I was and how to contact me. I already am hesitant to give that information out, so this didn't feel good feeling like I'm just opening my identity up to this unknown third party service.

I watched the entire Livestream via YouTube as usual wait for our promo code only to find out there isn't one and Dorky Dave even said in the Livestream that our favorite content creators would have something for us. I've been all over YouTube searching only find out you had to be on twitch to get rewards so my question is what's the point of streaming on yt if we can't get the same stuff as a twitch user that seems unfair so can someone plz tell me what's really going on here🤔🤔🤔
I watched the stream on Twitch through a Browser, I even commented in the chat. Just installed the app to access the Drops & Rewards area and there’s nothing as a player of 10+ years (who spends way too much money on the game LOL), I get so frustrated sometimes with these changes. UGHHHHHHH #IJustWantRewards
The chat was still ridiculously clogged with people spamming made up codes. Maybe ban each ! stupid 'code' as it gets picked up and get rid of all that or its not helping much bringing in this change in the first place. Everything gets buried by that so not much point trying to say anything when thats still going on its really irritating and completely pointless

Was the giveaway based on email associated with the account or the name? I think I used my twitch email and the name as my in game name.
So the system takes that info (from twitch or youtube, whichever you selected for the entry) and counts it as one entry, so no matter what you put in its one entry. Its just a matter of how easy it is for us to contact ya haha, but yea using your twitch email and your in-game name is fine.

That was with banning them.. wow. I kept seeing the same ones going for ages so thought nothing was being done about it. 1949 occurrances.. one starts it and the rest follow like sheep spamming it. I saw you pinned there was no code but no one reads and they just carry on. I hope they stop all this with the change once they get it dont know what they get out of it
It was definitely more convenient entering on the stream but its obviously a massive flood in there something was needed. Combining the promo with drops helps to cut down a step. If its about rewarding people for watching the stream then it makes sense to limit it to those that are present, some will suffer for that if they were not able to at that time though

In the past 12 months or so, I've created an account on Discord and another on Twitch.
Two services I had no desire to sign up for, but felt obligated to in order to keep up with this game. Now you've added yet another service with whatever Gleam is.
In today's society, when it comes to sharing personal information, I think many of us prefer less. Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter are one thing, cause many people probably have them anyway, but every site we have have to provide an email to is another risk of having your email hacked.
I'm not gonna sit here and make claims to quit playing, cause frankly, I love the game too much. But that said, I am done trying to keep up with your ever expanding list of things we have to expose our personal information to. I know that's my own personal choice, but it does suck to now be excluded from an aspect of the game simply because you guys feel the need to continuously change things.
The notion that you're doing this to "clean up chat" during the stream is noble, but fruitless. Today was a perfect example of that. With no code ever mentioned, people were still spamming a nonsense code. If you ever manage to train that out of people, they'll just spam some other nonsense.
Look no further than the in-game global chat to know what you're up against.
And let's be honest....you guys don't really "engage" with the chat anyway. You spend thirty seconds at the start of the stream shouting cities you see fly by, but in all the streams I've watched, there's only been one that I recall where Crashed actually answered some questions from chat. Heck, a couple months ago you posted a thread, in advance of a live stream, asking for questions, and I don't think any were answered in the live stream.
To put a point on it, please just stick to Twitch for everything related to the live streams and their giveaways.
