Now about all the bugs....can we nerf some of them?

Except Kabam didn’t say they were bugged. They were pretty explicit in the patch notes that they were nerfing the boosts because they felt they were too powerful. Criticize the change all you want but they aren’t hiding the change behind some “bug fix”.

Sorry - was too triggered to care when I made the thread.

Perhaps the solution is to then nerf some of the bugs, as they seem to be good at that? A lot of time nerfing things that do work as described vs fixing things that don't.

I’m actually surprised that there were times they were useful.

You only get Power back based on how much Damage (opponent % wise ??, so not just straight HP damage, but how much of opponent's overall health was actually affected by that HP damage) was done.

So (unless I’m confusing some things here), in fights in which your attacker has a big Pi advantage over defender, and your SP's take of a significant % of defenders health, then you get back a good chunk of your Power. Which in a sense is useless anyways, because your attacker is much stronger than defender anyways. No need for continual SP's in a fight where you'd typically finish off the defender fast anyways.

Conversely, if defender is much stronger (higher PI, and more importantly higher Health) than your attacker. So that your SP's don’t do a whole lot of “relative” damage to defender. Then you don’t get very much Power back. But those are precisely the fights where you would want to be benefitting from these Boosts, but you don’t really benefit from them at all.

So in the end, if there were some particulars where certain fights would actually benefit from these Boosts, that sort of runs counter to the design of them. (Which I’ve always thought these were useless Boosts because of that odd design dependency on relative damage)

They are useful in short fights like AW. Never been very useful in EQ boss fights since they started placing defenders with 600-10m health, but were still great for path fights..well until act 9 where every defender has a health pool of a boss.

Useful in incursions for when people got stuck since you're already dealing massive damage.

How much did they nerf them by?

They will be capped at 50% power returned, so an SP2 won't generate more than one bar returned.

So do we know if they're getting nerfed for future uses/purchases - or if the ones we already have are getting nerfed too? if it's the first one, I'll buy enough of all of them to Max out my inventory.
