Unable to join war

I didnt join today's war and it tells me this when i try to. I've restarted a bunch of times and it's not letting me join my bg. This is the first time this ever happens to me

    Did you just join this alliance. It looks like you are locked from joining due to being in this current war from a previous alliance.

    No, i've been in the alliance for a long time. Not sure what caused it to happen. Also if when you join an alliance mid war you get a spectate button and not a join button

    In that case it makes no sense. I would submit a ticket.
