Initial Thoughts On Arnim Zola

What are your initial thoughts??
I hope he doesn't get changed because I've liked him since his initial dmg rotation while yall was hating.
I love his control, just spam heavies and repeat and it can also be done after the sp2 as I think it also places a special lock.
He would definitely be an instant r3 WHEN I pull him from titan next month.
He seems great.

He initially sounded like a nightmare on defense, but I guess he only reduces direct hit damage on specials, not the red numbers.
Still, yeah, probably will be another Bullseye/Serpent/Enchantress level defender.

I haven't went against him yet so not sure. But will be trying CMM and Shuri to see how they do.

So i ranked the 6 r5a put him on stun immune but will see next war results but playing hes actually better than i thought but is fun which is a thumbs up on my end as thats what i look for

I think you need champs that can deal a lot of DOT with their specials because as a defender Zola applies a constant 90% cowardice passive against all special attacks.

For a 6 its not gonna be as great as a 7 though but i also did buy 2 as due to i had the budget to in the crystals i managed to get gentle as a 7 though so huge win thankfully didnt leave empty handed

Yeah he looks cool quite excited to see how 6 performs decided on war stun immune hazard node since cant stun but decay still might destroy him will see, and yeah only down side i dont like on gentle is recoil other than that he seems cool doesnt feel as good as zola though to play personally

Yeah, I don't think he's on Zola's level. Mainly I just want Gentle because he's a great Bullseye counter, which means it would free up my Sinister in BG to do other stuff than wait for the opponent to play their Bullseye.

Yeah, but these are all on the test server beta, where the opponents are literal punching bags.
I'll wait to see some actual non-content creator footage to accurately gauge how good he can be on attack.

Interesting, yeah, someone like Photon who can parry non-contact attacks, but also needs to apply DOT effects on specials, but DOTs other than bleed or poison which Zola is immune to.
I'm thinking Jack might be perfect.

Viv should work, parry then heavy while you’re phased. I wonder if DThanos can counterpunch with a heavy. Don’t see why not, but I’ve only ever used a medium to counterpunch. If it works with a heavy, that might be good for Arnim.

I'm just loving how unique Arnim's kit is! I haven't gotten around to playing him yet, but I have to give props to the game team for coming up with such a cool and unique playstyle, it really makes him stand out among all the other tech champs, and just other utility champs in general. This is also one of the reasons why I enjoy playing the Leader too, his Green Door mechanic was also an interesting breath of fresh air. I just hope Kabam continues to give newer champions these unique, fun playstyles in the future

Insane utility to special lock annoying special animations of annoying defender is unmatched plus he also have damage.

I figured with my Medusa 7* r3 she'd armor shatter him and take him down pretty easily since he's a Robot...

But in the EQ even with the Protection node down he was absolutely awful to deal with. He destroyed my Hulkling as well. I do not like him one bit.

I'm saving my Titan crystals (1) for him since he looks like a fun champ to use and if he can be a good defender, that's a bonus since I could always use a good defender for BG.
