Valiant without paragon

Is it possible to get valiant without getting paragon?
If someone clears 8.3 with 2 r3s but never got any 3 R4 6 stars, can they go straight from thronebreaker to valiant?

No, you need at least 2 R3 7*s for Valiant.

As in they have 2 R3 7 stars but not even 3 R4 6 stars

Theoretically yes unless Kabam plugged the loophole

Consider the scenario in future when 6* are obselete and there are 8* in the game, newer players who just use 7* and 8* will end up skipping 6* and complete the story quest requirement

Also by then valiant will be the new cavalier so it wouldn't mean a thing in the grand scheme of things

Not possible even with 2 x rank 3 7*. You can’t bypass a progression level.

I thought it was possible when Valiant first came out, but I was recently told this should not be possible due to the way the progression tiers worked internally, and I've heard of people testing this and discovering Paragon was not skippable, although I have not specifically confirmed that myself.
Then they should change the wordings to something like " You have to be paragon, complete 8.3 and rank up 2 7* to r3 to get valiant".

    Genuinely, why?

    It feels like there's a possible 0.002% of people that would complete 8.3 with 2 7* r3's without having THREE 6* r4's?

It's not like it's confusing, but it can be made as a standard procedure.

Yes. But a voice note could be nice since we summoners can't read.
