According to the devs, not anytime soon

So, no 7* KP, no Doom, no Magneto, no Archangel, no appoc, no hulkling, no Galan, no Kate, no herc.
Kabam should not be blocking off players to play their favorite characters when 6* are not relevant anymore

They obviously want you to play more with the newer champs. Some are very good.

It's because they aren't balanced like Serpent.
I think you mean they don’t work as intended like serpent.
    Sarcasm, buddy

kinping is one of my top 2 asks (the other is kate) but let's be honest, he makes almost the rest of the class not worth using and his hood synergy is a bit OP.

i can see them releasing him in a year but by the then severe debuff nodes and champions will be a normal part of the game and need better counters.

My 6*R5A Kingpin did an 80k heavy against Map 6 AQ sandman boss. No boosts, no recoils. Not broken at all…. 😬

That being said, I would love to see what a 7R4 would do.

Severe debuffs don't affect him rather actually empowers him since you get a lot of debutfs which boost your damage. Consider it as similar to fighting kingpin with apoc.

his text reads "each debuff on kingpin strengthens his resolve increasing his attack". kabam will surely code severe debuffs differently so it wouldn't count towards this ability.

i love the champ, but i think his time is over. kabam likes putting more limitations on champs these days than they used to, especially against class disadvantage and his strengths are a little too generalized imo.

Not how it works. 'will code' it's irrelevant when both champs are already in game. And it does provide the attack increase. You can test it

What Kabam will do is add more of the node that you champ takes damage when they purify a debuff. Thats the kingpin deterrent.

    interesting, i didn't now this.

at the same time let's be honest they'll adjust it later and call it a bug fix lol.

That's not honesty, that's just being dishonest. Severe Debuffs have a purpose. To not be shrugged or cleansed. If they didn't want it to do anything that debuffs do, then it would've just been a passive.

Kingpin gains attack for debuffs on him. That can't be bypassed unless his damage itself it capped like the Ares fight. But that's a special fight.
