The Ares fight is still missing the one vigor added on re-entry at times. Yesterday I noticed at least four occasions when it didn't add a vigor on re-entry. And this is after Kabam claimed to fix the issue and send out compensation. Not sure if the whole thing was a farce. When I get time to find and edit the clips where the vigors were missed, I'll send it to Support.

Also, I'm not a super-skilled valiant player, but not the worst either. I'm beginning to doubt if the special actions are actually skill, RNG, or RIG. I've tried different timings, but never works except the first dodge on his sp1.

And most of Ares' intercepts are clearly forced overrides, even when I'm sure my intercept was on point. It's bizarre how the AI is so different for some. Almost like they're playing on a different program/server.

    Anything on this? Seems frustrating.

I’ve seen some report that you don’t get the vigor added if you die to his sp3. Is that the issue here?

Also the compensation was not related to vigor. It was for the immortality passives not being removed when you re-enter the fight.

I'd recommend reading Ares kit closely.

If you die due to SP3, you don't get any Vigor. I did an Epoch path last week (with the March update), and was correctly getting Vigors if I got KO'd by anything that wasn't an SP3.

Kabam fixed the issue with the last phase not correctly removing an Immortality (the 99 charges he gets) on KO. Compensation was sent for that.

I wouldn't say I am skilled either, but I will say that my first Ares run, I didn't complete one special prompt the entire fight. My second run, I was able to complete SP1 prompts 50% of the time but none of the SP2. My third run, I was able to complete 90% of SP1 and 50% of the SP2. And so on. So there is some learning there, and since I did improve, it shows that it is not RNG.

I agree that Ares' intercepts can seem erratic and seem different for different players. I know I definitely can parry'd or countered on my intercepts a lot more with Ares compared to, even the Grandmaster.

Yes, aware that re-entries after sp3 don't add to the vigor count. I read and research, even though at times it does feel too much for a game.

RNG means the same program can work differently for different players. So your experience alone doesn't mean it isn't RNG or not programmed to work differently for other players/accounts. I've completed three runs and like I mentioned in my previous post, I've tried several timings, but they just don't work. Anyway, these varied experiences and opinions play right into why these programs are designed like that in the first place.

Read a post by Kabam Dork on the intercept issue at large. Let's hope it works out in favour of the playerbase.
