New aw nodes

I just fought a void on the new “special burst trauma” node. It places “severe” debuffs on me that can’t be cleansed or purified. I brought moleman expecting him to purify the debuffs. So instead void killed me pretty easily. Was this an intended interaction? If so could anyone point me in the direction of a proper counter?

I mean they didn’t accidentally code in the interaction. Tranquilize or some other form of AAR will probably be your best bet, although you might be able to get away with debuff duration reduction.

By intended interaction; I mean was this interaction planned and tested by the game team? Should void’s damage be changed so it doesn’t work on “severe” debuffs.

The node has 100% increased defensive AAR so I’m not sure if any AAR reduction will work.

Who has debuff duration reduction again? Only Karnak and Rogue are springing to mind

Severe debuffs are debuffs, there’s no reason it shouldn’t work with Void.

You are correct that the node means not any old AAR may be sufficient for all debuffs, but the node only provides defensive AA, so any AAR should be good enough for the severe debuffs since they trigger on the opponent’s special activation. You’ll probably have to deal with the regular taunt when filling a bar of power though.

Blade probably has the best debuff duration reduction, up to -95% at max power. Kraven and Okoye also have some, although Kraven needs more time to build up endurances than may be reasonable.

Oh yeah Deathless King Groot removes debuffs without a purify or cleanse so he’ll probably be one of the best answers to Void here if you play him right.
