So you can't even choose which class you want after doing 6 paths of Epoch of Pain

If you get the class you don't want, isn't that more pain?

At least let the players choose which class they want to rank up to 4

I am not exploring anytime soon but those who can do it by now also probably have a diverse roster to at least have one banger option in every class. You seem to have a option sorted for every class except Skill. By the time you explore, that option could also be sorted. Even if you don't, it's still one in a six chance of a miss. So I don't really see what the problem is.

You do know there are more cosmic and mutant champs out there right? Surprised you didn’t mention bullseye for skill. Pretty sure the crystal isnt up to choice so as to have diversity in rank ups. Otherwise we would see thousands of r4 onslaughts in BGs.

If you got valiant from necro, then Epoch of Pain should barely be an inconvenience for you.

Also Eternity of pain objectives gave us the first r5 6*s and that was a crystal too, so that is just a similar theme. I'm just glad we don't have carina challenges that go along with this to restrict the pools to tags rather than just classes.

Epoch is the first time we are seeing rank 4s available for ftp or low spending players, I would be shocked if they gave us a rank 4 generic gem.

But I agree with you about the skill gem, I will be really sad if I get one. Shang would be my best option.

This narrows it down to one class based on RNG. Sure someone may not have options they like for a class but anyone that does this content without modding has a big enough roster to have good options from every class. It may not be their favourite.. but no way they won't have options.

Seriously, think about how many revives people were dumping into Necro. We had a de facto Realm Event seeing how many deaths we could rack up. This, as challenging as the boss is, is not the same caliber of difficulty.

Also worth noting: the latest Carina’s challenges gave us one t7b, and completion of Epoch gives another. I am sure we’ll be getting a third from content in the near future, possibly with 9.2. That’s your selector.

And this might be a hot take, but I’m actually glad this first one is a gem. For Skill, I would probably go Chee’ilth or Crossbones, but leaning Chee because I use her so often for so many different things.

I have 81 7* but not every class is balanced now, some class are much stronger than others bcos champ crystals are also random
