7* awakening gem for the Love and War Box champs

Does the 7* awakening gem of the Love is a Battlerealm shop work on the Love and War Box champs?
Any idea? I don’t want to spend 10k units to awaken Iceman and afterwards it doesn’t work.

The description says that it works on champs of the couple and romance gems, Unfortunately the 7* version of Iceman is not part of those crystals, but the 6* version.

I would be grateful to get an info in this matter
