Armour breaks?

Do armour breaks always count as nullifies on armours?

Up until now, i always believed it armour breaks just removed armour ups, and that these only count as nullifies if a node specifies so.
Today, while fighting vox with medusa, his armour ups were removed by the armour break, but he was still taking the nullify damage.
Is this intended?

try it out once. medusa's armour breaks count as nullifies on vox, (i was in arena, so no nodes)

They do, that's why annihilus in EoP is armor break immune so you can't get rid of his rod that way.

Armour break is not a nullify effect, but armour break comes with a nullify effect. That's just how it is. Also to note it wasn't always like this.

It became like this, i presume after kabam started adding nodes that make armour break count as a nullify effect?

The change happened eons ago. So I don't think there's any going back. Nodes didn't make it like this. Nodes came afterwards.

This is in Vox' kit, he takes damage when any of his corrupted buffs are nullified or removed

In vox's kit, it only states "nullify'.
My question as regarding the fact that armour breaks count as nullifies (hen removing an armour up), even when no node is present.
