Nobody likes 0-death war, but I feel the new map is overtuned.

This time is not about tactics, it's about war map itself, a few examples:
  • node-37 + photon: "purified state" and "root" are added to this node, photon becomes a nightmare, Kabam really put too many things together, Warlock and Leader could do the work but you can survive from the fight only if you made zero mistake.
  • node-46 + Serpent (or other defenders): "Aspect of evolution" + "enhanced power gain" already make this fight dangerous, "Steady as she goes" make it way more worse, I can't imagine how we are going to kill a 7R4 serpent on this node, and I'm pretty sure Serpent is not the only one can torture players.
  • Path-9: I'm ok to change debuffs of Hazard shift so players have to change their roster, but increase the combination from 2 to 4, are you serious? We needed 2 players to handle path-9 of old map, how many players we need now? Especially tactics+ban can limit the choices significantly.
Again, I don't like 0-death war, but I truly think the new map is overtuned. Giving we can ban 5 attackers in T1/T2 war, and potion price is still high and R4 Champions have lager health pool, it's going to be unaffordable again.

@Kabam Crashed , if you are still in 4loki, please try to do those fights above and see how you feel

    This is true, void is the original choice of the fight on node37, the change made it void useless. The fight is too difficult, please either remove purify or root from this node.

    i stepped down for different reasons but the new map isn't sounding too good. hope you guys have a decent season but if it's xmagica s1/crushed all over again i hope they address it quickly though it's probably going to be for s57 if we're being honest.

    they've done a lot over the last few years to make war accessible and hopefully they keep with that way. with r4s a thing i think it's time for a buff to potion sizes.

    I like the post-tuned crush, it’s funny and requires skill, but this map? It’s a overkill, certain combination is just evil

    If MSD or Swedeah aren’t dying 5+ times per war then it isn’t hard enough

    Only for masters and top plat, they always get good rewards, but there is a wide gap between them and others.

    Especially plat 3 - plat 6 play difficult wars as well, but get very bad rewards
    true, but t7b is still new. i'm surprised they added that much for masters.

    Yeah this war map is embarrassing and I can’t even imagine how many players will retire this season after playing this trash design. The decision makes at Kabam seem to be sabotaging this game like they want it to die.

    Path 4 section 2 has the debuffs that can’t be purified or cleansed. Fought a void there. Pain in the behind. Very very few options to take that fight. I’m in a T1 alliance and this map does not look fun and it looks to expensive for me

    someone with tranquilize like mantis or kate? can tranq even prevent severe debuffs?

    I did path 9 in the offseason, elite map. Easy solos with Angela. She don't care what the debuffs are on hazard shift nodes. And there aren't many defenders she can't take there. And from the ones she can't, Ghost can take some of them.
    Actual t1 master war planners will find solutions to just about anything. I'm not worried

    It was on another post so these aren’t all my ideas. Blade with high power reduces the debuff time. Deathless king groot removes debuffs without cleanse or purify. I also think that power control could work as the sever debuffs only place when the defender throws a special. But honestly none of these seem like a hard counter to me

    Nobody puts hard defenders on the map in off-season, some T1 alliances intentionally put easy defenders in off-season.

    I am a war planner of T1 alliance, this is the reason you saw this thread.

    Ie, someone take Path 8 for first couple fights, then switch to Path 9 in the 2nd section.
    While whomever starts Path 9, switches to Path 8 for 2nd section.

    (*or whichever other path would be a good pairing in which to have 2 people switch midway)

    Not sure if the issue with 9 is that it is across the board (all 4 fights), so suggestion would be a good one.
    Or whether there are only 2 bad nodes but they are back-2-back (so in same section, and switching wouldn’t really help then or not) ?

    that is what most people did BEFORE the map change, now it easy to lock a player even with the first half of path-9 and makes this one can do nothing else, because it's very likely pre-fight is required too.

    Meanwhille, path-9 is not the biggest problem, mini-boss islands are the biggest problem IMO, some of them is just unreasonable with certain defenders. For example, 7R4 Photon on node-37, I just don't know how to do this fight, I'm not asking for SOLO, I'm asking about how to win the fight with reasonable cost instead of spanning revives.

    I don't like the direction we are trying to go in AW.
    Just cos people are dying a lot lesser, you are gonna make it harder so people use more items and it becomes more expensive ?
    Do you really think this is what players are asking for ?
    Kabam be prepared for more players to leave the mode entirely.
    The new map is overtuned please test this out properly or decrease the nodes in the lower tiers. The extensive ban list already makes it a hassle. And looks like you will also remove all the older attack tactics which means its gonna be even worse.
