He’s new, but Joaquin Torres has VERY strong Slow Debuff uptime. It will activate when the opponent uses a special when you’re in Defensive Instinct or Peak Performance, and if he’s duped the Slow applies on fight start as well. Having it passively apply means it’s very easy to have it up the whole time without you doing anything.

    Wow, good to know, thanks!
I obviously don't have him, but now I'm more excited than I would've been originally if I do end up pulling him from a Titan in March.

So just curious who people prefer or rely on as their go-to unstoppable counter...

And maybe the ranking takes into account the effectiveness of the Slow and also what else the champ brings to the table other than just that utility.
    .

If you're thinking of using someone for Battlegrounds this season, Classic Spidey is tailor-made for it. Decelerate to shut down Unstoppable; and an important/oft-overlooked bit of utility: he ignores Limber except against Skill champs (where he's not going to be first choice, anyway).

And let's not forget he's got Debilitate (stacking twice if he's Awakened), so he's great for Enchantress.

SP1-SP1-SP2 is good for most fights.
BG is not a problem, I just keep doing that EoP Hulking path to get it done without revives but JJ always gets me. It has to be science or tech anyway but figured I'd ask for a broader discussion.
Spidey is good I just don't see myself ranking him up to make his damage viable enough.
I think you just need to punish her heavies and specials to get the grit passive. Don’t remember much about that fight, however. Is the grit not sufficient to keep the fight under control?

It would be sufficient if I was a better player, but I need a little help to clear it without a revive...Just to not have to worry about the unstoppable constantly and play looser with my own attacks and specials. I think that would free me up to solo her.

Damn how come Stealthy is not mentioned yet

Except Mutants, His slow can shut down unstoppable, evade, miss and Doom's aura as well.

There are mystics who can apply nullify or stagger to stop that. and Sorcerer have slow as well to counter evade and unstoppable. Truly underrated champ.

The JJ fight gives you grit if you punish her specials. Any champ can do it.
One revive or two is nothing to run away from.
