Sigil is still garbage, why is it so hard to get this right?

I don't get why this is so hard, I truly am amazed. It was a slight improvement but only because they put back some of the old sigil items that we had like the 6* feature but as a valiant player the focus is 7* its something i guess. Still cannot trade up potions and the store still refreshes only once a month so again I use it for that 1 first day and then it offers nothing for an entire month until I pay for it again. Terrible design. All these item for sigil coins is garbage, nobody is going to spend those on anything other than the 7* crystals and that already takes like a year to get as it is...huge missed opportunity and huge failure.

Lets see if someone answer you 👍
Take some things much loved things away. Make some cosmetic upgrades.
Release it as brand new.
Community uproar on why the good was removed.
Add some of those things back and say we heard you.
End result is still subpar or about the same as what it was in the past. But now it’s supposedly brand new.
i too agree that the sigil is largely underwhelming, and really not worth the investment. they obviously value the market price of items in the sigil differently than we do, which is why the big disconnect. it would be helpful to understand this a bit better to see where there prospective is that leads them to chard the price they do for a store shelf thats largely overpriced in our perspective.
i think they value the weekly gift as the monthly cost of the sigil. so their perspective is thats where the true value is they're selling to us. the store shelf itself is just a freebee and the arena express. i believe they think allowing less cool down times for purchasing items creates a risk of those items not being bought at the market rates with units and money in the rest of the store front. they mentioned before a large slice of income comes from these purchases from players attempting more difficult content, remember back when JAX and Mike were mad that the revive farms make new content trivial? well its because no one spent as much on potions at that point becuase we just farmed them.
Their position on access to cheaper rates for potions were most likely driven by the adjustment in strategy to return players to spending currency on these items.
no matter how much more we scream, any adjustments that provide those items at a higher rate than they are is unlikely to happen because it dilutes the market for these items at the market rate they want us to buy them at. Again as to why i think they are slow rolling adjusting the AI, its not completely broken and out of whack just enough to make it tougher for some players, but not all.
Any change movements at this point are most likely to be QoL imporvements like the express mode. maybe we should collectively think of items that are more likely to be addressed this way instead of arguing over things that are most likely a dead issue for Kabam
Like:
- further increase to storage space or a way to spend units to increase the precentage of space
- expanding the 30% boost to other modes beyond acts 1-6
- a special potion/boost that will allow you to turn off one node of your choosing in a quest.
- better auto play AI
- Half price revives for story content thats been completed already when buying from a special window from the fight screen
- auto fight on arena
just my opinion here.
Personally I don't see the value anymore.
There's certainly a lot of room to debate the specifics, why this is in there or why that got removed, but the big picture is that more people subscribe than you probably think do, and that number is probably not too far off from how many Kabam expects to subscribe.
When the Sigil was first introduced, it was discussed that a primary goal for the Sigil was to be a nice to have but not a must have. It was intended to offer benefits that some players would find useful enough to pay for, but most players would not be upset about if they were left out because they didn't buy it. It was never meant to be an offer so obviously attractive that anyone who didn't buy it would feel like everyone else had too high an advantage over them. It is not that kind of bundle.
So when you ask why this is so hard, ask yourself: what would you make the Sigil, such that everyone who subbed all agreed the value in it was obviously worth it, and everyone else who didn't sub all agreed the value in it was obviously not worth it and thus fine to not buy. That's the fuzzy target the devs are aiming for.
When the sigil first came out, we didn't have battleground store or traders or a super daily event, so now it just seems super outdated even with the tweaks.
Express arena has always been the highlight of it for me, everything else about it is very lacklustre.
I’m not one of those “Hey, guys I’m free to play” types. The game is the game.
BUT.
Again. Game’s the game.
You care our you don’t.
You’ve lost me.
