Mcoc is number 1 in revenue contribution to Netmarble

Meanwhile a whole bunch of negativity in the forums

There isn't any positive correlation between forum sentiment and revenue

Spending goes up even when forum sentiment is going down (becoming negative)

I believe Kabam is also aware of this

Even when forums is complaining during banquet last year

The spending during banquet wasn't affected in the least bit

I personally haven't seen any whale use the forums

And whales are propping up the revenue for mcoc

Whales also get direct access to the community manager for any feedback they have about the game, whales don't need to use the forums to complain

That's for Q4. If you look at the rest of the quarters MCOC is not the 1 revenue.

According to recent reports, Netmarble's most profitable game currently is "Solo Leveling: Arise" which has seen significant success since its release, exceeding $100 million in revenue within a short period and contributing a large portion to the company's earnings.

Yes that is Q4 which is when banquet happened and the forums were bursting with negativity about the banquet crystals and yet the banquet revenue was healthy

Even Kabam crashed said that he was concerned that banquet revenue could be affected when he read the forums but the data proved otherwise

Its the biggest sale of the year, of course they are going to do well, its like saying the economy of a country is great based on X-mas sales.
What I'm saying is that banquet revenue was healthy despite all the negative feedback about the banquet crystals which is puzzling and counter logic for me at first but I understand why now

I know that but you said "Mcoc is number 1 in revenue contribution to Netmarble"

But it is not. During banquet it is but the rest of the year is not. And Q4 is not much higher than the rest of the year. So it would not be the number 1 in revenue.
In 2017, Netmarble acquired Kabam, bringing mobile fighting game Marvel: Contest of Champions into its portfolio. Both Marvel: Contest of Champions and Lineage II: Revolution (as well as its successor, Lineage M) would go on to earn more than $1B in lifetime revenue

So my point is mcoc is 1 of the top revenue contributors to Netmarble

Netmarble has been losing money on rolling out new games that failed miserably and just managed to make a small profit recently bcos the older games have been aggressive in sales

The share price has fallen since the covid peak and also in the last 1 year

So all the companies can now create their own marketplace to sell stuff without paying commission to Google and Apple

It's almost like social media gives annoyed people somewhere to vent and rage at a business while happy customers just buy stuff and keep quiet.

Customers who aren't happy but understand that complaining isn't going to matter do neither.

I’m sorry, and this isn’t aimed at you, but I absolutely HATE, when someone starts a sentence with “It’s almost like…”

Probably just a personal pet peeve.
