Can Kabam sell profile pictures of Countries' flags

It's a common feature in many games to have flags of countries shown

I'm going to buy the profile pictures of all my favourite countries' flags

So I can let my opponent in battlegrounds know they lost to which country that I feel like representing each week

It’s really not though. I know flags seem like a simple, apolitical gesture, but somebody has to make a decision about *which* flags get added in. If you think “oh, that’s easy, just add all of them!” then you’ve come up with a great way for Kabam to wade into multiple different geopolitical tension points where one group or nation denies the existence of another. And if you think “okay, we’ll skip the controversial ones,” then you’ve still taken a side in it.

Adding any national flags (in a way that isn’t directly tied in with a character) is a great way to unnecessarily aggravate huge chunks of the player base. Tying in with a character (like Guardian or Captain America) is probably the only safe way to approach this, but is inherently limited to the characters that exist. And those profile pictures already exist, so there’s nothing to ask for.

National Flags are very much not apolitical. Ask the International Olympic Committee why they forbid Taiwan athletes from competing under the Taiwanese flag.

Those are the standards that everyone accepts

Following what UN or the Olympics is doing isn't wrong for any company

I believe those are 2 different Sets of recognition.

The set of UN nations is not necessarily completely the same as what the Olympics recognizes.

And not talking about those games that have some nations banned and athletes have to use a generic Olympic flag (glances over to all the remaining legitimate athletes from countries who had many “doping” scandals for the rest of their athletes, and so can’t fly their own flag)

But even in general, there are differences in what/who is recognized as some countries.

To have any significant influence, you would need an appreciable amount of stock, say between 1% and 5% of the outstanding shares. Netmarble’s current market cap is about $2.4 billion USD, which means you would need to acquire about $24 million USD of stock just to get him to take your call. Realistically, you’d need a lot more than that to get him to make this kind of decision.

Making your own game is a far more accessible goal.
