Is it possible to reach valiant by never opening a crystal?

I have an idea for a challenge, which involves only ever opening the crystals that kabam makes you open in the tutorial phase of the game, but no more for the duration of the run until reaching valiant.
So I guess you could only obtain champs via selectors that come out every so often and from arena.
Possible or not?

Just started my account, I’ll post updates in here of what my crystal page looks like and documenting how I am obtaining my champions
Here we go, the first of many updates to come.
That’s the roster and I expect 2 star hulk will put in a lot of work in the coming days.
So far so good! I have reached contender no problem!
Hopefully have maestro beat in the next day or 2.
Not speed running it, going at a steady pace.
I am at the mercy of Kabams generosity, they handed out 7 stars like hotcakes last banquet and I feel as 7 stars become more common they might be more opportunity’s for selectors this year
You'll have to reach a new title... Valiants is getting a little too old. dogs and cats are valiants these days.
Totally forgot about getting champs from event quest. Not a good month for it though unfortunately!
So gonna be hard to rankup a lot of champs.
You’ll have to find them in places where they do NOT come as a crystal.
As well as Awakening Gem crystals, and SigStone crystals.
However if you get aegon, you can run a full necro exploration. Get 7* maestro and a 7* selector like someone else said, and you’ll have to explore 9.1 to get the 1-2 gems, and the t4a, then i think you’ll be stuck until 9.2 releases. Unless you manage to do epoch.
