Mantis light not connecting when fighting Hulkbuster

In arena my R2 7* Mantis was matched up against 7* Hulkbuster & frequently (though not constantly) I would open up with ML & the L would not connect. This would happen after parries & intercepts.
I matched with my R1 7* Hulkbuster in practice & was able to recreate this, though I’ve not had this issue in any other matchup I have yet tried (other XL & non-XL champs).
