Battlegrounds Scoring Change - Season 27

The scoring change for this upcoming season reverts it to what it used to be prior to season 9. Is the game team seeing that the original rationale for making the change no longer holds true?

I saw the notes. My question is to ask why boring stall defenders previously necessitated a scoring change vs now, where boring stall defenders still exist.

still shows 10k max

Matches being lost to people that didn't even finished their fights probably.
