I’m not posting this with the intent of getting pitchforks and torches raised, Vega himself said in the video, do what you want to do. However, I think he raises a lot of good points on the trajectory of the game and concerns he has for the future. Therefore, I wanted to share it here and start a healthy discussion on the forums. I would encourage you to watch his video and formulate your own opinion of the state of the game and make a call on whether to continue to support it financially, or communicate to kabam that you are displeased with the current state of the game through your wallet.

I don’t want to villainize any particular member of the team or make any grandiose statements, and if you want to continue spending, that is your call, you won’t get any hate from me. However, it feels like this game is being lulled to sleep through passivity, and I don’t want that to happen. I love this game and have interacted with some amazing people through it. I could keep going, but I’ll leave it here. I hope this fosters a good back and forth discussion.

Basically - he thinks the Raids changes were terrible and not buffing BG rewards ultimately led him to the decision to not spend on the game anymore until something changes.

I watched it earlier.. I don’t do raids, and I don’t do high level BG’s. But I do purchase passes and sigil (arena express)…. And one thing he said was a good general principle: if you aren’t having fun, why spend? I can’t answer that question. My target fun is the BG’s mattering and EQ/SQ not being TB level only. Those are the repeat reasons why I would log in for “fun.” Welp, Kabam has other plans. So I think I won’t renew the passes or sigil. I can do slower arenas for the foreseeable future

He's not wrong. Nightmare Raids and the odd compensation was absolutely insulting to the player base. As well, 1 champ using one specific buff is the only way to go? The absolutely horrible rewards?

While i am by no means a whale, I do spend quite a bit. I also don't complain a lot about the game issues. But all of the extremely complicated content is insane.

Kabam needs to rethink this game. Til then I will go FTP and just do whatever content I enjoy. I am out of the chase.

I do really hope they get it together though.

Vega is one of my favorites for this reason. Praise when they get things right and criticize when things are completely wrong.

I have never spent money on this game so I have no attachment to it. I can walk away anytime without any regrets.

While a nightmare is needed for raid it needs a lot more testing I really dislike how there just slapped a billion nodes one a fight to make it harder but it also makes confusing here and there. I got very tired of it also because it lanuch with bugs so many times and the reward isn’t enough to justify it bg need a buff asap

For the first time in 10 years, I am not logging in every day, I quit my alliance as I didnt want to burden them because I refuse to do Raid Week anymore with the current state, I did not buy the double-track event, I didnt bother to get into GC, didnt even get to the 7* shards in the solo event, and I am cancelling my Sigil. It just seems they dont care and the direction they have been going for a while is making the game not fun. Spending use to be something that was fun to do, but you didnt have to, now I feel they are so out of touch with rewards and game design, not to mention the huge bugs with AI. Please fix this Kabam.

We can raise issues on forums or YouTube, don't matter, it's useless, another season with lame same rewards, giving excuses that they didn't had time when rewards are same from season 12 now we on 25, 2023 to 2025, Kebem is saying from past 2 years they didn't had time.

I said it on a different post. You can deal and gain back an upset customer by making things right. They are upset because they want to keep on consuming the product.
A customer that stopped caring is harder to get back

Love Vega as a creator and a dude. Appreciate his take on the situation and understand where he's coming from. Obviously this isn't a snap your fingers and its fixed situation, but this is definitely heard and we're passing it along to the team.

I honestly got nothing against you, I actually appreciate the interaction you have with peoole and the fact that you are in touch with us. The situation as of now is not about being heard. I make fun about "passing it to X team" quite often. We want to believe we are being heard and that's only 50% of the problem. Even if we are being heard there seem to be no action. Fine its not deaf ears anymore; its just a stack of messages in a suggestion box.

It certainly feels like pumping out newer, more challenging content has been a snap your fingers situation. But, the rewards issues move at a snail's pace. I understand different departments do different things, but good organizations are able to manage that. Maybe it would have been smart to put a pause on upgrading content, or making game mode altering changes until the department overseeing this rewards/bg store mess can catch up? What we have here is a result of the team being profoundly unorganized across different departments, a lack of transparency in regards to expected time horizons for changes, and a game that is becoming more unplayable with way less incentive to stick it out and offer Kabam the benefit of the doubt. How you all handle things in this moment will drastically impact the health of this game. Surely you can sense the momentum going in the wrong way, but you all haven't done ANYTHING to slow it down, let alone reverse it. Your consumers are telling you they are profoundly unhappy, and the response has been underwhelming to say the least.

Yup no thats super fair. Words without action are just words, even if its nice to hear them. Unfortunately from my spot here right now all I have are words to offer in addition to what I can do internally to try and communicate player sentiment. Dork, Rex, and I are all working on that, but all we can say for right now is the fact that we are.

Know that's not enough right now but its what I got. Can hopefully bring more in the future. Appreciate the understanding

Was going to make a similar comment. This feels like just another canned “thank you for the feedback, we’ll pass it along to the appropriate team”. Obviously I think all we want to see improvement but I think a middle ground of acknowledging the state of the game is extremely necessary.

Use the forums, use in game messages, use YouTube, use discord, etc. and most importantly use the live streams. Spend that time communicating to us what you are hearing and what is being done. I understand not everything is know but hopefully a plan is developed, communicate the plan with or without a timeline. Just show us more detail that “it’s being addressed”.

We don’t need 10 minutes talking about eq and sq, we don’t need 20 minutes talking about art design process. There are more pressing matters that could dramatically impact the perception of the game. We all want this game to be the best it can be but you’re making it really difficult.

When KABAM wants to they have snapped and fix issues that help them only. Time and time again.

When the community brings an issue to the surface they say they hear us and will change/fix issues or something is in the works to make it better.
This is only to shut us up.
When they are basically forced to address an issue, very minimal is done.

Why we as the community expect something different from a company that has shown many times they really don't care.
Don't get me wrong I like playing this game.
But when is enough, enough?

What I have to noticed what this company likes to do is find some of the loudest voices from our community and put them on the payroll to try to bring the rest of us to order.

The problem is that it is a "snap your fingers" situation in the sense that things have lagged for so long that immediate and considerable changes need to happen, even if it might be an overcorrection on Kabam's part. At least then you could get away without an update for a bit.

Its common sense. If you got 5 things to do in a day and you are late for the 1st one, you will most likely be late for the other 4. The only way to catch up is to ask for help and get at least 1 thing done by someone else.
Everything in the game as of now is "late" and it snowballed into this.

Can someone explain to me why there is a difference between "I'm not going to spend any more money on this game until they address my complaints" and "I'm not going to play or discuss this game anymore until they address my complaints"?
Do people just not value their own time as worth anything?
Or are they addicted to the game and not spending money is the biggest leap they can take while still holding onto their addiction?

I'm glad ccs are finally saying something and it's not just us on the forums, let's just hope whatever they're planning isn't something as dumb as "doubled the amount of relic alloys and shards in GC" cause absolutely nobody cares about irrelevant items like those. We want actual relevant rewards that make the grind worth and aren't locked behind a paywall.

It must be hard to design content that is both challenging *and* fun. I feel they nailed it with Epoch - especially the Ares fight.

Nightmare raids are challenging, which I think we’re all fine with… but they are extremely not fun.

Saying “I’m not going to spend” is easy to say when it’s the season of not spending. It’s not July 4th deals, Cyber Weekend, or Gifting Event.

What’s he going to miss out on? Spring cleaning? Okay. But similar to how we feel Kabam has just been “all words” lately when they say they hear us, all the content creators who say “no spending” are in that camp until July 4th deals are in.

Timing is an issue too.
We had a recent change on Raids with the deathless defenders, we got to do it 1 or 2 times? And despise all the complaints of other issues change it into this? Would anybody mind if they prolonged the deathless raid 1 or 2 more cycles while they addressed stuff that has been questioned for over a year?
