Marvel Contest of Champions – Current Issues & Suggestions
1. Champion Balancing & Reworks
Instead of constantly releasing new champions, older ones should be reworked to match modern mechanics.
Buffing all champions gradually will create a more balanced roster.
Once the average power level increases, new high-damage (nuke) champions can be introduced without disrupting balance.
2. Battlegrounds Improvements
When fully revamping Battlegrounds, ranking should be based on prestige at the start of a season. After that, a player’s rank from the previous season will determine placement for the next.
Champion power should be capped for lower ranks (e.g., Bronze: 2K, Silver: 4K, Gold: 6K, etc.). This way, matchups will be based on a player's skill and roster rather than raw power (however, it will be capped in lower ranks). As we know, new players often quit matches when facing much stronger opponents, so this system will help retain them.
As players reach the highest rank, there will be no power cap, allowing them to fully utilize their champions and rewarding their investment.
3. Better Resource Access for Average Players
There should be more ways for average players to earn resources, ensuring steady progression.
Kabam can still keep their offers for revenue, but improving resource availability will keep both F2P and P2P players engaged and active.
This is essential for the game's long-term health so it doesn't die off.
4. Bosses & New Content
Introduce more health-based bosses with only 2–3 nodes, focusing on fun mechanics like Bane, Masochism, etc. instead of overcomplicated fights.
5. Fix the Energy Crisis
The current energy system restricts gameplay and progression. Adjustments should be made to reduce waiting times and make content more accessible.
