My views on crushed response

While it has been some time since we had a roadmap of the game, honestly I cannot remember those who pay more attention could provide actuals.
I am not sure how large the player base is and obviously that is confidential but one could say very large, but more importantly different skills and different preferences in the game, ie everything content, war, aq/raids, battlegrounds, story and inclusions.
My major criticism is why the focus on battlegrounds? It's long and laborious with not a lot of reward, ie time in, items out. (Obviously in my opinion)
I personally like war and story quests, war gives a sense of team work where slightly less capable players are invaluable for the team. However, this has been neglected for years with large increase in difficult with very small improvements in rewards a forgotten area.
Likewise, story quests which have in the past provided incremental difficulty with a worthness feeling of rewards, I dont and can't do these events itemless but gives me a sense of progress. These story quests are far to long apart.
What is called endgame, which I refuse to call as the game continues. Good rewards probably not justified by the difficulty, but just aren't fun for me and possibly a large percentage of players. No one has fun dropping 40 revives on a single path. Keep in mine these event show 2 things one it is possible for kabam to buff rewards as these events are very frequent, and these event are really for 1% of players, kabam has these numbers no doubt.
Bugs and programming issues again where not included obviously that to distract from the new shiny mode, but these need to be addressed because they have a direct correlation on happiness. That did not occur with nightmare raids which was unfortunate.
Finally, specifically when talking about battlegrounds, the only time our alliance competitively play is when rewards are great, last birthday of battlegrounds we didn't even set 150k minimum, the post refused to talk about rewards only how they will be delivered. My best guess if they aren't substantial or frequent uptake won't improve, this wasn't clear in the post.
What modes do you guys enjoy?
In today's day and age influencers / youtube form the consensus opinion why not talk to the community see what they want.

- BG brings that be it fun or just reaching GC or hitting Alliance min(where people login multiple times a day & play same with Aq)
Story mode is ok but they just get cleared in one day that took 6 months of planning ,node idea ,special boss(design ,animation , phases etc)
Influencer/youtuber don't care about others -
- do u think they care about a paragon player/early valiant player ??
- they care or ever talk about balance of the game ?
- they care about how the reward should be so the game lasts 10 more years ?- I haven't seen any.
If u ask they will say add a full titan crystal in the chest or add a titan nexus in raids (as they almost have all required 7* champ from base pool) or better reward for AW(which is just a prestige cutoff for many alliance+ u need to spend a lot)
He focused on BGs for NOW
I have been playing for 10 years.
I dont buy it takes 6 months plan story mode maps, they have done 2 or 3 end story maps and epoch had 5 or 6 fights per path. The obvious reason is because of difficultly rewards with unit purchases, that's okay game needs to make money. When I talk about rewards I am speaking holistically shards catalyst relic awakening gem etc.
Obviously we are all speculating as we done see that data, I know my last 2 alliances around 15% hit the 300k cap, that's very few. But again speculation as we dont see what happens in other tier 3 alliances, above or lower.
At that time battlegrounds might need further refinement
Talking the good twin with original 80s beard
Why the focus on Battlegrounds now is because they've spent a lot of time focused on other areas of the game, and are now finally getting around to it.
Crashed describes Battlegrounds as a "niche" game mode, and in relative terms that's obviously true. Outside of the realm event based on data available I suspect only about a third of the playerbase touches it at all, a minority of players. But more importantly, Crashed says competitive BG is a niche mode, and the fraction of players that are genuinely competitive - comparable to the number of players who make it into GC say (this is an oversimplification albeit a justifiable one) - is probably less than one percent of the playerbase. This is an order of magnitude number comparable to those that seriously grind arena.
However, that's true for many parts of the game. There is the core of the game which comprises the story Arc content and the monthly EQ and side quest content which probably has majority engagement (a majority of the active player base does it) and then there's everything else composed of smaller fractions of the playerbase. I suspect only a small percentage of players are competitive alliance war players. Most players are not highly engaged AQ players. And by definition the end game community is only a small fraction of the playerbase no matter what they decide to do. But I believe Battleground has a disproportionate impact on the game as a whole. It is one of the few things that engage players similarly across the progression ladder. I suspect more Uncollected players play it than Valiants (simply due to the relative numbers of those players alone). It is a highly roster-growth focused game mode, and roster growth incentivization has a significant impact on a lot of the game systems.
There are good reasons to focus attention on Battlegrounds even though not every player likes it or participates in it. However, those good reasons were not good enough to prioritize it over long term player retention goals. So that's why Battlegrounds was deprioritized earlier, and why I believe it is being given elevated prioritization now.
Basically what you have said is the game has been neglected for long periods of time, all modes and all aspects.
Their punt is this niche form, I hope we can agree those changes are difficult to interpret until we see them in action theory versus practicalities.
This punt is based on data we dont have access too. I hope with rapidity other areas will be addressed too
