Side Quest Enjoyment

Do people really enjoy these mysterium side quests? I miss the Mutant Treasure Island type side quests. It’s gotten kinda old and repetitive doing the same type of mysterium based quests. I understand there are a lot of rewards and people can choose what they want but maybe even an update to the store/ make the side quests more cool would be dope. With all the negativity and criticism, I still do enjoy the game and it’s made very well. Just wish some things would change or have some more clarity about certain issues. And again props to being interactive on forums and what not, hopefully things will turn back around.

Nobody likes them. But they made them because irritating casuals complained they were too complicated. So they created the worst, most boring, dull content known to man with currency befitting of such mediocre creativity.

On the positive side- at least the limit access gate was after both sides of the quest.

Players could try different team combinations to clear the quest without having the heavy revive use from choosing the wrong team or the user error of using limited access on wrong level.

The only disagreement I have with criticism is the claim they became less fun due to casual players complaining about complicated setup. Most of the complaints around complexity that I saw were universally panned…. Because there was little to no communication on when you should or should not use a key or token and now the entire month was ruined for a bunch of summoners,

What started to drive the angst against further complexity was how little we are getting from SQ even back then. So Kabam heard the complaint and solved it in how Kabam solves problems. They gave us useless rewards scattered in stores, objectives, and completion rewards but it’s harder to totally screw up the month (though not impossible).

I like simple side quest, such as you go in and do a quest. Not the ones where you have to complete this objective to get this token to do this quest to unlock a bigger token to complete a bigger quest to unlock a reward.

However, and this may sound like wanting my cake and eating it too, I like creativity in the side quest. I believe simplicity does not mean it can’t still be creative.

Trader's Outpost and the whole mysterium concept need to be completely erased from the game and they need to bring back old SQ format, this just feels like a chore and every month I lose more and more motivation to do it.

It’s also easier for the team to create each month and push out the boring content. May be a reaction to their dwindling team in addition to requests for simplicity.

Problem is the Trader's Outpost is ridiculously outdated at this point, and they've pretty much made it very clear they don't plan on buffing any of the current stores every 4-6 months as they should, that's the main reason I'm against it.
