Not a complaint.... just a friendly piece of advice from a long time player who loves this game.

I know offers are put together well in advance of being released. I also know they can be canceled up to the moment they go live.
The game is struggling right now and with the calls for boycotting, the creators all banding together, and the switch from mico-whale to almost completely FTP for me and most everyone I know, these types of offers are going to do more harm than good. Period.
Might some people buy them? Sure.
But putting out an offer that values 1 single R4 at $1,500 (seriously.. 2% of an R4 for 50$ ??? ) is so historically bad that myself, and I'm sure alot of the people who are feeling the way I am, are just completely insulted and reinforced that FTP is a much better choice.
I actually like spending on decent to good to great offers. I like spending on events like spring cleaning, July 4th, cyber weekend, etc. But this is so freaking insulting that I worry you are costing yourself large numbers of buys just by being so tone deaf.
Anyway, Im sure I will get flooded by nay sayers who tell me how it's my choice to spend or not and how not every deal is for everyone, and you are right. That's not my point. My point is that for a large part of the spending community an offer like this is more "salt in a wound" than an incentive to drop a few bucks.
I got excited to see a catalyst offer because I have some rank ups im excited for, only to feel super bummed out that the offer was pointless, meaningless trash.
Meh, whatever.
Let the disagree spamming commence.

Because of community vibes from a loud but tiny fraction of players?
We don't have access to the game's financials to say whether the game is struggling or not...All indications are that the game is actually doing very well financially.
Let's not confuse our feelings and emotions with objective reality; they're separate things.
You know what kind of state the game is in now...stop pretending.
As with any offer in game, it's only as valuable to those that can make use for it or for those who can afford to purchase every offer out there. It doesn't have anything to do with the state of the game or the overall value of what you perceive an R4 to be. They are just offers. You're reading too deeply into them. Don't buy them or buy them, but lets not pretend they're part of some greater scheme.
If you are, do you go check yelp or google or youtube comments to ascertain the company's financials?
Or do you read the financial disclosures released by the company?
Not saying customer complaints aren't valuable, but they don't prove things that they can't know.
this is the vibe of this thread and it's arguably worse than burning down a tesla dealership.
Don’t play someone else’s game. You’re playing your account.
Play how you play and stop worrying about other folk.
Obviously report bugs or issues. But in the end it’s totally up to you if you play or not, have fun playing the game or not.
It’s just annoying when people get “unhappy” with the game and try to drag everyone with them.
