And tell me if I'm a scrub and just don't know how to dex or Ares' sp1 dex in phase 1 is broken.
For context, this was my last run and I did manage to finally solo the last unblockable phase.

Not going to call you a scrub, cause I also did something similar. As I completed more paths, the 1st phase started being annoying due to the slower speed. From my somewhat untrained eye, your timing is just off

I will say, that seems weird your getting hit. Although, ares is very picky about actions that you do. Mabye your slightly blocking before the dex, happened to me before,or it's due to how venoms big dash back is being shortened, causing a short timeframe dex.

As you can see in the first sp1, I was in my dash back animation when I got hit.
I posted this on discord and some people said I was dexing late while some said I was dexing early. Clearly, if that's up for debate, it is very close.

First dex was too late. 2nd one was too early. The first phase is so slow you have to 100% correctly time it. Just dex later than you normally would. And dont hold block when doing it as the slow special animation may count the dex as a blockes hit

Doesn’t look like you were dexing too early or late to me. Even the game said you dexed the hit because if you look at the left hand side of the screen two “dexterity” call-outs are there. To me, that interaction seems bugged.

Oh yes I didn't even notice that. There was a dexterity callout. Then this is definitely bugged.
