How does changing profile pictures affect you at all
From OPs perspective he is questioning the prioritization of the people working on an April Fool's joke instead of the multitude of bugs.
And from all the talk on the forums of how hard coding is, and coding can affect this, and coding will affect that for no reason, and yet someone played around with the coding in a way that affects every account. Seems unnecessarily risky given the issues in the game.
Kabam just created more work for them so the jokes on them lol
Not really the patch notes are hand written and the profile pics are just copy pasted not much work for them to turn on and off
So the crystals opened that didn’t contain the feature champs are just copy and paste too? Or do they have to go through players accounts and fix that?
So, I'm pretty sure that this bug was more of a "The message was sent too early" bug. And was Hilariously coincidentally on April 1st. But this could have happened whenever..... or hear me out, someone at Kabam pranked Kabam and is now fired because he did it on purpose.

I'm sure the 1 person that agreed to work on this profile picture joke was singlehandedly responsible for buffing rewards in all areas of the game and fixing every bug /s
Kabam, these little April fools pranks were entirely tasteless. Your game is in shambles, and you've got people spending time working on pranks? Do you have any idea how much good will you could have bought from your community today?

I don’t think the game has much to gain by attempting to gain that level of good will from the complete sticks in the mud this would have appealed to.
Lets follow OPs train of thought... What would happen if by 4th of July Kabam came up and said "Hey guys we had a terrible year and we don't deserve the money, so this year we will have no cash or unit sales", bet the community would be overflowing with joy

I too am in the bitter camp lol, as much as I don't want to be.
Normally every year I'm all on board with the MCOC April Fool's stuff, even the stupid eternity crystal, but this year just feels different. It's entirely because of everything going poorly in the game, weird decisions for the direction of content, the seemingly endless ways to push out more money offers than ever before, boycott talks, myriad bugs, etc. all on the back on the kinda meh Banquet Event (not the event as a whole, but mainly the special crystals that were trash and made the even feel like ****). With all that going South in a short amount of time, with very little quality updates from the game team on what's going to change to come back (minus the last BG centered post by Crashed), I saw the April Fools stuff today and just rolled my eyes like "yeah....you guys are kinda bombing all over the place... maybe just skip the jokes this year", this was also after the whole 6* featured bug as well (which came at a horrible time as I also thought it was some sort of deeper April Fools new crystal joke like the infinity crystal from last year).
ANYWAYS.... I'm guilty of just being salty at the game lately and the experience now vs a year or 2 ago, but can totally acknowledge I should have just let it be and let the Game Team have fun where/when they can.
