Is Pacify worth having on permanently? Or is it only useful in niche scenarios?

Title. I've been running 3/3 Pacify for ages, but I'm looking to respec my masteries a bit, and I could use 1-3 extra points. I know Pacify was good for the Aegon RoL challenge, but past that, I can't think of any real use for it.

Am I being shortsighted? Or is it just niche?

Pacify f's you up by failing node abilities that fail you.

But if you red mags it is very useful for him

You can't plan a fight around an ability that only triggers 30% of the time.
Especially when it relies on stun debuffs, which most hard content is phasing away from.

Agreed with everyone. I ditched it a while ago because I don’t like the unpredictable AAR, especially on modern content where you aren’t just stopping an effect that helps an opponent (back in the day it was all about stopping regen, power gain, etc), you often want effects to trigger that would benefit you (weapon node, etc). Same reason I don’t run assassin anymore.

Yeah, I stopped running assassin too. Used to love it, had it 5/5 max, but a couple of weird things happened in some fights and I just don't need the unpredictability.
I've switched over to the basics, stuff I can feel when I have them and know exactly what I'm getting:
max Despair, max WP, max Inequity, max DW, max MD....

It's no longer a mastery that helps you enough to justify the points.

The heyday of pacify was back when Magik was a problem. Stun her then pray the limbo doesn’t trigger.

Started hating this mastery when flux dispersal node was launched in variant 3.
It messed up thing rock stacks.
Then they used flux dispersal in map8.
Act 6 was over. Annnd Never equipped it back.

People kept getting hit with negetive impact of this mastery, in sos type content nodes where having aar slap you with a 30% health damage.
    Bad mastery. Bad
Good for specific war fights (top tier only, as they switch masteries regularly)
It goes decent with champs utilising collar tech.
But in the end, Not a fan.
